A TikTok user who goes by the handle @spicy.bells caught her fiancé cheating on her, and he blamed it on AI. They had been planning a huge destination wedding in Italy.
His whole family lives there, and her family has always wanted to visit, so it just made sense. But they had to call off their engagement, and now, she’s single.
The past few months of wedding planning had been very stressful, which took a toll on their relationship. Tensions were high, and they were getting into arguments.
When her fiancé started getting distant, she didn’t think too much of it because she assumed he just needed some space.
“But what started as late nights at the office became late nights with the boys out at the bar until two, three, four a.m., and then just not coming home at all, crashing on so and so’s couch like five out of seven nights a week,” she said.
She was deep into wedding planning, so she didn’t read too much into it. They weren’t having bachelor and bachelorette parties because they were doing such a big wedding, so she figured he was just enjoying his last time being a bachelor with the boys.
However, she began to notice that he was always on his phone, which was out of character for him. One night, she planned a date night for them. She cooked steak and bought a nice bottle of wine.
They hooked up for three hours, and it felt like the spark was back, but also, something was off. He was pulling out moves that he had never done before.
When he went to the bathroom to take a shower, she grabbed his phone.

“I was getting desperate, like I’m about to marry this man, and something feels off to me,” she said. “I need to know because he won’t tell me the truth.”
She did see that he had a bunch of Instagram notifications from a girl she didn’t recognize. She jotted down the username on her own phone and looked this person up.
She decided to send the girl a message asking about her fiancé. The girl replied right away in shock, saying that they had been dating for four months. She explained that she lived in the area, and they had met online.
The girl sent screenshots of their messages and photos. When her fiancé came out of the shower, she confronted him with the evidence.
He immediately got defensive and claimed that an AI bot must’ve sent that stuff to her. He refused to unlock his phone and show her his messages.
So, she kicked him out and canceled the wedding. A lot of the stuff was nonrefundable, so she’s wondering if she should go on a vacation to Italy by herself.
