TikToker Abigail (@abbeyyy1996) is sharing the jaw-dropping story of her friend Stephanie, whose husband turned what should have been one of the most emotional and vulnerable moments of her life into a complete nightmare.
While Stephanie was recovering in the hospital after giving birth, her husband, Jeremy, brought his mistress into the NICU and pretended that she was the baby’s mother.
Stephanie and Jeremy have been married for four to five years. When Stephanie got pregnant, everything was great at first, but then Jeremy started coming home late from work a couple of nights a week.
Stephanie wasn’t worried, but her family was. Her sister began digging through Jeremy’s phone and found out that he was texting someone named Carl.
About a month before Stephanie was due to give birth, Jeremy started bringing his friend Carly around. Soon enough, Stephanie went into labor. Jeremy seemed distant and was on his phone the whole time.
There were some complications with the birth, so the baby was transferred to the NICU at a different hospital. Stephanie had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours.
Jeremy went to the other hospital to be with the baby, while Stephanie’s family stayed with her. Stephanie’s sister thought Jeremy had seemed a little too eager to leave.
Stephanie ended up getting discharged from the hospital a day early. She went to the other hospital to see her newborn. At the NICU, the nurse asked who they were.
When she realized that Stephanie was the mother of the baby, she told them that an older blonde woman had been there, holding the baby.

Of course, that older blonde woman was Carly. Stephanie’s sister confronted Jeremy about it. He claimed that Carly just came along so he wouldn’t be alone.
Stephanie’s parents also confronted him. He asserted that Carly was consoling him because he was sad that his wife wasn’t with him and that Carly had only been to visit once.
The NICU nurse later informed Stephanie and her family that Carly had visited multiple times, including the first night the baby arrived.
Stephanie refused to believe what she was hearing. Stephanie’s sister was livid and threatened to prevent Jeremy from being around the child if he continued to act suspiciously.
“Fast forward to they’ve been home from the hospital for a couple of weeks, and Jeremy is still nowhere to be found,” narrated Abigail.
“He’s hanging out with Carly all the time, and Carly is coming over to the house to see the baby.”
Carly kept saying that she wished the baby were hers and Jeremy’s. Three weeks later, Jeremy decided to leave because it was all just too much for him. He didn’t tell anyone where he was staying.
In the end, Stephanie discovered what everyone around her had already been suspecting. Jeremy’s relationship with Carly was far more than “just friends.” Stephanie started going through his stuff and found a love letter from Carly in his duffel bag.
In the letter, Carly talked about how they would make the best family. It was especially horrifying considering that Stephanie had literally just given birth to his actual child.
