Cheeseburgers And Pastries Might Not Sound Like They Should Go Together, But This Recipe Will Prove You Wrong

Put a spin on a regular burger with these cheeseburger puff pastries. The combination might sound odd at first, but this recipe is so much fun to make, and it isn’t as heavy as an actual cheeseburger. The light, flaky crust is much more inviting than the carb-filled bun of a burger.
TikTok user @eat.haga has a recipe for cheeseburger puff pastries that’s easy, cheesy, and crunchy. It’s big on flavor but low on effort, so it’s perfect for those days when you’re struggling to come up with a good meal idea. After one time, you’ll be hooked! So let’s quit the chatter and get into the recipe.
Ingredients:
-1 1/4 pounds of ground beef
-1 onion
-1 teaspoon of garlic powder
-1 teaspoon of paprika
-1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
-Black pepper
-Sesame seeds
-Shredded cheese
-Puff pastry dough
Directions:
Start by sautéing your ground beef and onions together. Then, you’re going to add in garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. You can throw in some chili flakes if you want to add a little heat.
When the beef is done cooking, cut the puff pastry dough into four equal squares. Grab a fork and poke holes in the middle of the dough where the beef will go. This way, only the edges of the dough will puff up, giving you a nice, crunchy crust.
Next, scoop the beef onto the dough pieces and sprinkle a handful of shredded cheese on top. Brush the edges of the dough with some egg wash. Scatter some toasted sesame seeds along the crust for an extra delicious, nutty flavor.
Pop the pastries in the oven for seventeen to twenty minutes or until they turn golden brown. Top them with slices of avocado, tomato, or strips of bacon. The possibilities are endless!
Who needs a fast food run when you can enjoy these cheeseburger-inspired pastries right at home?
