His Girlfriend Told Him That If He Let Her Hookup With Another Guy, She Would Love Him Even More

This 29-year-old guy has been dating his girlfriend, who is 26, for about two and a half months.
They apparently first met in Paris but have been doing long-distance ever since– because he is still in Paris, and she is currently in Portugal.
His girlfriend’s plan is to continue living in Portugal for six more months at least, too.
“But she says she wants to come to Paris after that,” he said.
Since his girlfriend is originally from Mexico, though, this is actually her first time ever living away from home.
So, they have made sure to stay in touch– texting every single day for the past three months.
He claimed that they had also seen each other in person twice.
“She came to spend four days with me in Paris a couple of weeks ago, and it was amazing,” he recalled.
They were also planning to see each other again soon.

However, his girlfriend recently threw a wrench in that plan after revealing that she felt “tempted” by another guy in Portugal.
Apparently, his girlfriend told him that he was amazing and even claimed she wanted to be with him. That’s why she assured him that nothing would happen with the other guy.
“However, she also said that if I ‘allowed’ her to hook up with this Portuguese guy, she would like me even more,” he revealed.
According to his girlfriend, she does not actually want an open relationship. But she believes that if he had any problems with her hooking up with other guys while they were still in the “early stages of dating,” then that would be indicative of “fragile masculinity.”
So, despite him really wanting to make it work with his girlfriend, her perspective has set off serious alarm bells in his head.
“I really like her, but this feels like a big red flag,” he admitted.
That’s why he’s been left wondering what to do in this situation.
Would you view this as a major red flag or not? Does it seem like his girlfriend wants a relationship without any commitment or responsibility? Would you stay with her or cut your losses?
