She Wants Her Fiancé To Buy Her A Brand New Engagement Ring Since Her Friend Recently Got Engaged And Her Ring Is Twice As Big

A 33-year-old woman named Kate got engaged to her 35-year-old fiancé last summer, and they’re set to get married this upcoming November.
Kate’s fiancé has a 35-year-old friend named Aaron who recently asked his 30-year-old girlfriend named Amber to marry him.
Kate and her fiancé went to Aaron and Amber’s house for a party on the 4th of July, and they were all having a wonderful time.
While they were there, Kate and another one of the female party guests asked Amber if they could take a look at her new engagement ring.
The women fawned over Amber’s ring, and then Kate asked her what stones her ring had. Amber replied that there were 40 diamonds in the ring’s band, and then the center diamond was 1-carat.
“41 diamonds and 3 carats total, technically a solitaire with an elaborate band, and no halo,” Kate’s fiancé explained.
“Kate said that wasn’t possible on their budget. Amber looked at her ring and said it looked like diamonds to her.”
“But Kate brought up how their budget was $1500 like ours was for Kate’s ring, and Aaron must’ve gotten cheated. Kate’s ring is a half-carat solitaire.”
Now, at this point, Kate’s fiancé was bewildered as well, since he had actually gone to help Aaron select Amber’s engagement ring.

Aaron was looking to spend the same amount on Amber’s ring that Kate’s fiancé had spent.
Aaron even had picked a ring while they were at the store, but the ring he picked wasn’t the ring he had proposed to Amber with.
Kate’s fiancé did not mention in front of everyone that Aaron proposed with an entirely different ring than the one he helped pick out in the first place.
Aaron then explained to Kate he paid $6,000 for Amber’s ring, and that although he did have a budget, he didn’t care about it.
He was able to spend more than the budget he had set, and he felt that Amber was deserving of a better ring.
Aaron that it made a great surprise, proposing to her with a more elaborate ring. He then opened up his wallet and pulled out a card to show everyone.
The card listed out the specs for the engagement ring he bought Amber, and it proved the stones in her ring were all diamonds.
Aaron then revealed that the only reason he took Kate’s fiancé ring shopping with him was to throw Amber off. She wouldn’t think he was ring shopping with his guy friends.
“Amber is very money conscious, so Aaron explained he’s been saving since their third date for the ring and paid in cash. They’ve been together for 2 years,” Kate’s fiancé pointed out.
Now, while Kate and her fiancé were on their way home from the party, she told him she did not understand why he didn’t get her a more expensive ring.
She said she wished he wasn’t so money-conscious, but the thing is he picked the ring that he did for her because he loved it.
He thinks big diamonds are gaudy and flashy, and he didn’t think it was worth spending that kind of money on.
“I told her she was envious that Amber’s ring is twice the size of hers and flashy but it’s not a big deal,” he said.
“Kate said she should get a different ring that shows how I feel. I said no, that the ring she has already does that and was in our budget we agreed on.”
“She said she’s envious not of the ring but that Amber is with someone that is more focused on her personal value, not budgets.”
He told Kate she needed to go find a guy like Aaron because the ring he bought her clearly wasn’t good enough for her.
Things have not been great between them since this whole conversation, and they have never had a fight like this before.
He’s upset Kate no longer likes her ring, and she never brought this up to him until Amber got engaged with one twice as big as hers.
