When TikToker Noel’s (@nawalornoel) husband injured himself recently, she took him to the emergency room. They were separated from the people next to them with only a flimsy curtain, so Noel was able to overhear everything they said.
One morning, her husband woke up and worked out. He injured himself pretty badly and went through a whole day of work before coming home and telling her that he was in too much pain.
At the ER, they discovered that his injuries were a little more serious than they thought. They were there for hours and witnessed many people come and go.
At one point, they heard some commotion. Noel peeked out from behind the curtain and saw a bunch of police officers, as well as all the nurses and doctors in the department.
A man who was under the influence came in, and he was loud and belligerent. The cops had to restrain him and placed him in the bed right next to her husband’s.
They proceeded to take this guy’s statement, and it turned out that he was a Bitcoin millionaire. He had been kidnapped and held for ransom for multiple days.
His wife and six-month-old baby had also been taken. He had huge cuts around his wrists from being bound so tightly.
They were in their car, pulling out of the garage, when a car stopped behind them, and these men ordered him to get out of the vehicle.
The kidnappers brought him and his family to a random house about a mile or two away from where they were originally staying. They separated the three of them into different rooms for two days.

They were trying to get him to transfer money and Bitcoin to a specific account.
He transferred $70,000, and the wire went through successfully. So, the kidnappers demanded $4 million next. However, that transfer got flagged. The system caught it and shut everything down. Finally, the kidnappers decided to let them all go.
He could not tell the police what they looked like because they had worn masks and gloves the whole time. All the while, Noel was sitting next to her husband, absorbing every juicy piece of information. Her husband was on painkillers, so he was totally out of it and wasn’t paying attention to anything that was going on.
Eventually, Noel and her husband left the hospital. Her husband would need surgery in a few weeks. But she will never forget that trip to the emergency room.
“I got so invested in the kidnapping story I forgot why you were there in the first place,” one person commented on her video.
“ER eavesdropping is the only thing one can do to pass the time,” someone else said.
“Girl, I’m right there with you. When I was in the ER with my friend, and a stabbing victim came in, and I was the same way listening to all, the guy was talking and telling all, and listened to all,” another person added.
