A 30-year-old woman recently tied the knot with her 30-year-old husband named, Matt. Now, Matt has a stepsister named Tiffany, who is 28.

Prior to her wedding, she’s really only interacted with Tiffany around 10 times over the span of 5 years.

Tiffany isn’t really close to Matt, and she does not live where they do, so that’s why she never got to spend a lot of time around Tiffany.

Matt did want to invite her to the wedding, though, and so Tiffany was put on the guest list.

“I should mention that Tiffany is very attractive,” she explained. “She is pretty, with a currently fashionable body type; she also dresses well and spends money on her appearance.”

“This is well known, and even though I’ve only met her a few times, whenever she is brought up by my in-laws, she’s always mentioned as being very invested in her image. I don’t begrudge her this at all.”

So, the day of her wedding arrived, and the ceremony went off without a hitch. When her ceremony was finished, her in-laws all came up to congratulate her on being officially married.

As she was standing there, chatting with her in-laws, her father-in-law mentioned that she looked gorgeous.

Right after those words were out of his mouth, he then stated that Tiffany also looked amazing that day.

Her mother-in-law shot her father-in-law a look that she witnessed, and then her mother-in-law shook her head to indicate that he should probably stop talking about Tiffany.

Next, Tiffany walked over to congratulate her, and Tiffany looked absolutely flawless.

“Her dress was beautiful and fitted her perfectly, her hair and makeup looked like they’d been done professionally, and she was wearing a pair of obviously designer shoes,” she said.

“Her outfit was totally appropriate for the event, but I was still weirdly upset by how she looked and immediately felt self-conscious next to her. Even Matt told her she looked great, and they rarely talk.”

“For the rest of the night, every single male guest at the wedding asked about Tiffany, who she was, how I knew her, if she was single, etc. By the speeches, I was fed up and almost in tears, and even the best man mentioned her in his speech off the cuff. I let it go, went on my honeymoon, and tried to forget the whole thing.”

When her honeymoon was over, and she arrived back home, her in-laws invited her and Matt over for dinner.

Tiffany also happened to be there at the dinner, and Tiffany shared the news with them all that she had gotten engaged.

“She showed us her comically large ring and said she was planning to have the wedding next year and that it would be a black tie event,” she continued.

“Before I could stop myself, I jokingly said that I was pretty sure I’d already been to her wedding, I was the one in the white dress. She asked what I meant, and I thought there was no point in lying, so I just admitted I felt she upstaged me at my wedding.”

“She laughed and said you can’t upstage a bride. I asked if I could wear white to her wedding then, and she shrugged and said, ‘if you think it’ll help.’ She then apologized if I felt her outfit was inappropriate.”

Her in-laws made an effort to talk about something else and change the topic, and it never got brought up again for the remainder of the evening.

Later on, when she returned home with Matt, he absolutely lost it on her and accused her of humiliating him for being envious of Tiffany.

Matt let it slip that he isn’t really a fan of Tiffany, but he understands she cannot do a single thing about how she looks or the clothes she’s able to buy.

He thinks she made herself out to be “childish” and “bitter” that evening in front of his whole family, and he was so upset with her behavior.

“I admit it wasn’t my best moment, but I thought he would at least understand how I felt, given that he heard everyone’s comments that night,” she added.

“He’s demanding I apologize to Tiffany and his parents, but I don’t think I said anything that heinous.”

Do you think she owes Tiffany and her in-laws an apology for what she said at the family dinner?
