Her Ex-Fiancé Called Off Their Engagement And Ghosted Her Five Months Ago, But Had The Nerve To Reach Back Out Again On Social Media This Week

Last October, this 26-year-old woman was supposed to get married to her ex-fiancé named Greg, who is 29.
But, after she waited to tie the knot with Greg for nearly two years, her engagement was tragically called off.
It was not ended because of differing values, loss of love, or cheating, either. Instead, she detailed how her ex was a seaman who had just mismanaged his money.
Apparently, Greg was confident that he would be able to pay for a work exam and their wedding using his $5,000 work bonus. But, after the bonus was never paid out to him, he panicked and kept his financial struggles a secret– fearing she would end up leaving him.
Then, as time went on, Greg started having second thoughts about their marriage stemming from insecurity and lack of confidence.
He apparently started claiming that he did not deserve her and did not want her to “suffer any longer.”
Now, at that point, she was so confused and tried to reassure her fiancé at the time.
“I pledged to love him and stay with him. He would just have to learn his lesson and not do it again,” she recalled.
In spite of her unconditional support, though, it appears that was not enough for Greg. Instead, her ex-fiancé continued having second thoughts until he wound up ghosting her.
And honestly, she just could not believe it. She detailed how she compromised so much of her life to make Greg happy.

In fact, she changed her job, gave up on her dreams, got rid of her pets, and even sacrificed her social life to make her ex-fiancé happy.
“He didn’t want me to go out much, and I had a curfew with him because what kind of decent woman goes out after 9:00 p.m.?” she said sarcastically.
On top of that, she put up with Greg’s attitude even though she knew he was giving her the bare minimum. And while she realized that was dumb, she just really loved him and tried to give him everything.
So, after Greg ghosted her for two weeks and their engagement ended, her heart shattered.
She was forced to pick herself up from rock bottom– literally scheduling time for herself to break down twice a day at work.
“I watched videos about breakup advice just to keep myself together,” she added.
“And it was a fight with myself, and I tried my best to keep it under control while venting out every time that I could.”
Still, while she tried to focus on herself, she could not help but see Greg posting on social media– appearing as though he had been having the time of his life ever since they broke up.
And now, just as she started to move on five months later, Greg has come crawling back.
This week, he actually had the nerve to follow her again on social media and send her a message. Honestly, though, she just stared at his text.
In the past, she would have felt the urge to reply immediately. But that has completely changed. Yes, she still feels a little sting, but she admitted to mostly feeling disgusted by her ex-fiancé.
She cannot understand how it was so easy for Greg to completely neglect and ghost her, yet message her now as though nothing even happened.
“Like, what would he expect? That I would just forgive him?” she vented.
After speaking with friends and family– who checked out Greg’s profile– she also learned that her ex-fiancé had not been doing as well as she thought.
Apparently, Greg looks as though he has aged 10 years since their engagement and is reportedly “uglier.”
But the most shocking thing she learned was that Greg had been subtly hinting to people online that the reason she and him broke up was that she cheated!
So, she knows that everything Greg messaged her about putting himself first and working on self-improvement was a lie.
And now, she has been left wondering how her ex could be so heartless or crazy.
Can you believe her ex-fiancé reached out to her again after ghosting her and calling off their engagement? Do you think she should respond to his message or not even entertain his advances? What would you do in this situation?
