This young woman recently got married, and she admits that she never really liked her 31-year-old sister-in-law Lisa, but she managed to get along with her.

Unfortunately, that all changed on the night of her wedding because Lisa really went out of her way to ruin things.

Her ceremony went off without a hitch, but when it came time for her reception, that’s when Lisa started causing problems.

Lisa started off by making a ton of snide comments to her directly about her own wedding.

“She was complaining about the food, the music, the venue, and the decorations, and it was really starting to get under my skin,” she explained.

“I tried to brush it off and focus on enjoying my special day. I figured she was just in a foul mood since she was recently divorced, but she just wouldn’t stop.”

“I even asked my husband to talk to her about it, but he said it wasn’t a big deal, and I was overreacting.”

If that wasn’t bad enough, Lisa was only getting started. When she and her husband made it onto the dance floor for their first dance together, Lisa snatched the microphone from the DJ and thought it was a good time for her to give a crazy speech.

Lisa went on and on about how she used to be super close to her husband, but that all changed when her husband met her.

Lisa also kept going on about how much she misses being close to her husband and how she’s just super lonely at this point in her life.

“She was laying it on thick like she was mourning my husband or something,” she said. “I have to admit, at this point, I saw red. It was so inappropriate and disrespectful, and it felt like she was trying to make the wedding about her instead of us.”

“I confronted her after the speech and told her that she was being disrespectful and that she needed to stop it. We got into a heated argument, and it was really uncomfortable for everyone around us. Afterward, she stormed off, and we didn’t really see her again for the rest of the night.”

When her wedding was over, her husband’s entire family wasn’t angry at Lisa; they were angry at her. They accused her of creating drama and destroying the reception. Her in-laws wished she did nothing and instead chose not to confront Lisa. She doesn’t agree with her in-laws, as she feels she needed to stand up for herself and her husband on their wedding day.

“The mood was already ruined by her awkward speech interrupting my husband and I’s first dance together,” she continued.

“My sister-in-law won’t talk to me, and my mother-in-law has been repeatedly calling me and demanding I apologize. My husband has not really been helpful, either. He hates any kind of conflict, especially with his mother. My own family is on my side.”

She’s left wondering if she should have let it go. What do you think; how would you have handled Lisa?
