Brittany (@brittanyybowen on TikTok) started talking to a guy, and everything was great. They constantly FaceTimed and texted one another, so he seemed pretty promising as a romantic interest.
Now, Brittany always FaceTimes guys prior to going on a first date with them, and she does it more than once, to see if she can read their vibe.
This guy happened to be from Atlanta, but had moved to Dallas. He was totally her type, not that that's a hallmark of success in Brittany's love life, but he was super cute, and she was into him.
Brittany originally met him at the airport on her way to catch a flight. He stopped her to say that she was pretty and asked for her number. She gave it to him, and that's what kicked off their connection.
After a solid month of FaceTiming, he asked Brittany out on a date. They had to go that long without getting to go on a date since he was in the middle of relocating to Dallas, so when he officially arrived in town, he was able to organize a date with Brittany.
This guy moved to the heart of Dallas, and Brittany lives an hour outside of the downtown area. The guy asked Brittany to meet him by his place, and he mentioned an amazing taco spot they could go to.
Brittany agreed, because she's not much of a foodie, and tacos sounded like a good idea to her. Brittany ordered two tacos and a margarita while on their date, and the tacos were $2.75 each.
"So literally both of our meals in total were less than $25, but I know for a fact mine was $10.75, and I know that because I added it up after he was mean about it," Brittany explained in her video.
"So, remember that later. We sit there, we're drinking our margaritas, and you know, the Mexican spots like whatever they put in those margaritas, it's insane. So, I'm getting a little tipsy, he's tipsy, we're having a great time, good conversation, like the day is actually going well."

"It doesn't take much for me...I could have a good time with a brick wall, so, even if it wasn't going well, I could have made it work."
Brittany did think this guy was cute in real life, and their conversation was as exciting in person as it was over the phone. When the date was over, this guy asked Brittany if she wanted to see a movie since their date was just amazing.
Brittany was down to see a movie, and they had some more drinks at the cinema. When the movie was done, they drove back to his place.
It was dark at that rate, and Brittany asked if she could hang out at his house for an hour while she felt sober enough to drive herself the hour back home.
Brittany drives a blacked-out Dodge Charger, and she says police officers love pulling her over for fun for driving a car like that. She didn't want any trouble.
Brittany's date invited her in and said they could watch TV until she felt like driving. She did tell him she couldn't stay over, as she had things to do in the morning.
While they were lying down watching TV, this guy tried to put the moves on Brittany and hook up with her. She stopped him and reminded him she didn't feel comfortable driving home, and he had allowed her to wait around.
He called her a tease and got upset with her for coming over without wanting to do something with him. Brittany was so confused because this was their first date, and she's not that kind of girl. Brittany felt so uneasy that she told him that she was just going to go sit in her car and then drive home from there.
"For the next three days, this man is blowing my phone up...complaining...this man gets so upset and is so mad over the fact that I wouldn't do anything with him," Brittany added.
He accused her of wasting her time while saying he spent his hard-earned money on her. He also threw it in her face that she had used him for his money.
Brittany was shocked because again, he spent $10.75 on her food, and she didn't owe him anything!
Brittany is nice to fault, until you push her over the edge. She finally responded, asking for his Cash App or Zelle. She outlined how her food had cost $10.75 and said she would pay him back.
"And then this man had the audacity to text me a week later and ask me if I wanted to go out again," Brittany said.
Obviously, Brittany declined, and he argued it wasn't about the money. Brittany was not happy that he was acting as if he had wined and dined her.
"I would literally rather buy my own meal and not have to hear a man's voice ever talk to me ever again than them thinking I'm using them for a free meal," Brittany continued.
@brittanyybowen I’ll buy my own meal next time thanks bro #datingstorytime #dating #horrible #men #baddate
