TikToker Jess (@scaredwithjess) is sharing a story from someone who pulled over at a rest stop late at night to use the bathroom and heard a stranger outside the stall say their name.
So, this person was driving home alone after visiting family. At one point, she stopped to use the restroom. There weren’t many other cars at the rest stop, except for a pickup truck near the vending machines and a semi-truck parked farther away.
The women’s bathroom was empty when she walked in. She went into the far stall, locked the door, and sat down. About 20 seconds later, someone came into the bathroom. She heard slow footsteps that stopped near the sink. It sounded like the person was barefoot.
Then, she heard an older woman’s voice humming softly. Soon enough, the humming stopped. The faucet turned on and then off. It was silent until a voice asked if she was almost done.
She looked under the stall door and saw a pair of wet bare feet standing in front of her stall. She told the older lady that she would be out in just a minute.
The lady proceeded to say her full name. She did not respond. The lady said it a second time. Finally, she asked the lady how she knew her.
The old woman laughed. Her laugh started out as a light and thin sound, but it changed into a rougher, deeper tone.
The deeper voice commanded her to open the door. She quickly grabbed her phone and climbed onto the toilet, so she could peek over the door and see who was out there.
“At first, I saw nobody, and that lasted maybe half a second,” narrated Jess. “Then, something slowly rose into view from the other side, not by standing up. More like, it had bent too low and was now unfolding.”

She saw the top of a head, a forehead, and wide eyes. The creature’s skin was gray, and its mouth was hanging wide open. Wet hair was plastered to the side of its face, and its neck was sickeningly long. It smiled creepily and said, “I knew you’d look.”
She screamed and ran out of the bathroom and into the parking lot. She jumped in the car and looked back at the building. The creature was still standing in the bathroom doorway.
At first glance, the creature looked like an old woman, but when the light caught her face, it revealed something much uglier.
She sped out of the parking lot. On the drive home, she told herself that she must have just been exhausted and her mind was playing tricks on her.
But when she checked her phone, she found a video that was only a few seconds long. She had somehow opened her camera in the midst of her panic. Right before the clip ended, the camera jerked up at the grotesque face lifting over the stall door.
