When one of her friends asked her to be her plus one at a wedding, TikToker Lauren (@lauren_thelawyer) readily agreed. The wedding was for her friend’s coworker, and it was in the daytime. Lauren did not know the couple at all.
The wedding procession began with the bridesmaids walking down the aisle, accompanied by the groomsmen. Then came the mother, the bride, the father, and the groom.
About five to 10 minutes into the ceremony, the officiant asked if there was anyone present who knew of a lawful reason why the couple should not be joined in holy matrimony.
The bride made a playful gesture toward the crowd, causing everyone to chuckle a little. No one expected what came next.
At the very last second, someone in the back stood up to object to the union. Lauren grabbed her friend’s knee in shock as everyone whipped their heads around and chaos broke out.
Apparently, the groom’s brother had gotten married the year before, and some unspeakable things had happened at the groom’s brother’s bachelor party.
The current groom was cheating on his now-bride with a random girl at the bachelor party. The girl was there, and she stood up to share her side of the story.
The groom allegedly got her pregnant and gave her an itchy, burning, scratchy disease. She later tracked him down and told him about the pregnancy. He said he would pay for her silence and discretion.
“She does go through with sending the baby to glory,” said Lauren. “Not only did he pay and cover all the expenses to send the baby to glory, but he also agreed to give her a monthly stipend for a year. Somewhere along the way, he forgot and stopped sending her payments.”

Of course, the bride is crying, and the wedding was put on hold. The bride stormed off with her bridesmaids, her mom, and most of the people sitting in the first couple of rows on the bride’s side.
Lauren and her friend were sitting on the groom’s side. At that point, Lauren’s stomach was rumbling with hunger because it was supposed to be cocktail hour, but obviously, everything was delayed. Finally, the groom got up at the front and made an announcement.
“He tells everybody that he doesn’t know this woman, that she is unwell, and that there’s this thing going around on social media where people are crashing weddings and trying to ruin people’s big day,” said Lauren.
“He says he doesn’t know this lady from a can of paint, and he would really appreciate if we can all calm down so that he and his bride can get back to what they came here for.”
So, everyone proceeded to sit and watch the couple say their vows to each other and pretend as if nothing had happened. They all stayed up late and partied hard. It was a wedding that Lauren will never forget.
