She Left Her Date Alone At Dinner So She Could Buy A Bottle Of Ranch Dressing From A Convenience Store To Eat With Her Meal

A few nights ago, this woman went out on a third date with a guy named Michael. He decided to take her out to dinner and brought her to a restaurant that was one of his favorites.
“It was a hole-in-the-wall Polish/Hungarian place,” she recalled.
While there, they ordered food as usual, and Michael also opted to get a sampler plate. That way, she could try out a few different foods.
It is important to note, though, that there are very few things she does not eat without ranch. Apparently, she just enjoys the condiment, and it makes things easier for her to eat. That’s why she always likes to eat ranch with her meals.
So, when the waiter brought out their food, she obviously asked to have some ranch. But, the waiter revealed how the restaurant did not have any. Instead, they offered to bring her dill sauces and some sort of sour cream.
She decided to give those sauces a try, too, but she claimed it just was not the same. Instead, she told Michael that she would be right back, grabbed her wallet, and headed out of the restaurant.
Afterward, she ran to a convenience store that she knew was close by, went in, and actually purchased a bottle of ranch dressing. Then, she went back to the restaurant and brought the bottle inside to eat with her food!
Her date, Michael, reportedly looked really shocked by that. But he never outright said anything and continued eating his food.
According to her, the food was great, and everything was going really well, too. However, that was until the waiter came back over and informed them that outside food was not allowed inside the restaurant.

“But I said dressing isn’t outside food, and they didn’t have what I needed to enjoy my meal,” she explained. Yikes!
Still, she did not want to ruin the whole evening, so she wound up bringing the ranch out to her car before going back to sit down at the table. Afterward, they finished dinner and headed out.
At the end of the night, Michael then thanked her for going out on the third date. But, he also admitted how it was seriously offputting that she needed to leave and purchase a bottle of dressing instead of just enjoying one meal without it.
She didn’t understand his point, though, and pointed out how she would not have had to leave if the restaurant had some ranch or any other dressings “like a normal restaurant.” Once she said that Michael did not even walk her back to her care. Instead, he just left, and she went home to fill her roommate in on the whole date.
After she told her roommate about everything that happened, though, her roommate actually just asked if she was being serious. Then, her roommate proceeded to call her out for having bad etiquette and embarrassing Michael to the point that he would probably stop talking to her.
“I don’t think what I did was really all that bad,” she vented. “It was a condiment, not an entire meal from someplace.”
Nonetheless, ever since that conversation with her roommate, she’s been left wondering whether leaving a date to buy the ranch dressing for her dinner was a really rude thing to do.
Would you ever leave a date to go buy a condiment if a restaurant did not have it? Do you agree with her roommate that she acted rudely? Did Michael have a right to leave after dinner? How would you have reacted in this situation?
