You never really know who your real friends are, even if they’ve been in your life for more than a decade, according to TikToker Chanel (@chaneldoll7).
She was friends with a girl for over 10 years, but this so-called friend had her boyfriend break into her apartment and steal $15,000 from her.
One day, her friend called her, crying about how she had nowhere to go. She asked Chanel if she could stay with her for a couple of days. Chanel agreed. Her friend was able to get a ride to her place, which was a red flag in hindsight.
After a couple of days, her friend left. During the time she stayed at Chanel’s place, she saw all the money Chanel was making. The money was coming in so quickly that she didn’t have the chance to deposit it at the bank.
Instead, she put it in her safe. Apparently, seeing all that money gave her friend some ideas.
Her friend went to stay with the guy she was dating at the time. Later that week, she called Chanel, asking to hang out at her place while Chanel and her sisters got ready for a night out.
While her friend was over, she was acting weird and kept asking to borrow someone’s phone because she didn’t have her own. Finally, she stepped out in the hallway to make a call to her boyfriend.
“Like I said, this is my friend, so I’m still not thinking enough,” said Chanel. “Whole time they’re plotting about how they’re going to break in and how they’re going to do this. She’s showing him everything.”
Once Chanel and her sisters were ready to go, Chanel’s friend announced that her boyfriend was downstairs to pick her up. She left, and Chanel left five to 10 minutes later.

While she was out, her friend called her multiple times. Chanel’s cousin finally answered the phone for her. Her friend wanted to join them. For some reason, Chanel felt like something was off.
Another hour or two passed, and her friend never showed up or called. Chanel decided to go home because she was tired. When she got home, she found her door kicked in.
Her clothes and shoes were strewn all over the place. All her purses had been stolen. She headed straight for her safe and realized that it had been stolen as well.
She sat down to think about how this could’ve happened. After considering the situation, she concluded that her friend was the culprit. No one else knew that she wasn’t home.
Chanel immediately picked up her phone and called her friend. She tried to play dumb, but Chanel was absolutely sure she had been behind the theft.
