Erika Lynn, who goes by @erikarolston85 on TikTok, went on a terrible date the other night, and she said there’s quite a crazy plot to this one.

This man actually slid into Erika’s DMs, and that’s how they first came into contact with one another. Immediately, this guy was aggressively brazen with her and said she had to text him ASAP.

Erika did cave and started texting him, but I guess sometimes it’s attractive when guys know what they want and make it clear, right?

They spent days talking to one another, and they FaceTimed too, so Erika was feeling confident about going out on a date with him when he asked her out.

Erika didn’t feel like he was a complete stranger, so she allowed him to pick her up at her house. Except…he showed up two hours ahead of schedule to get her for the date!

She actually snapped a photo of him sitting in his truck outside of her bedroom window at 2 p.m. when their date was scheduled for 4 p.m.

“When he told me he was leaving his house, I was like, ‘Why are you leaving this early? Take your time. Like, I’m not ready yet.’ I had to jump to get in the shower, quickly do my hair; he sat on my bed while I was doing my makeup because he was here,” Erika explained in her video.

She didn’t want to make the guy wait, which is why she invited him in. Erika says that should have been red flag number one, but hindsight is 20/20.

As Erika scrambled to get herself together, the guy had the audacity to insult her for how long she was taking. Around 4 p.m., they finally made it to a brewery, and Erika thought he seemed anxious to have a drink.

Once they sat down, they shared their food, and things went well. She thought it was adorable, he was easy to talk to, and they connected over their passion for fitness.

But that’s when the date took a nosedive. This guy revealed to Erika that he takes some substances to support his fitness, which Erika finds offensive.

Erika was horrified that he was disclosing all this on a first date, and she couldn’t hide the expression on her face. She carefully attempted to tell the guy it was “taboo” for him to be so open, and she felt incredibly uneasy.

Erika was just trying to have a polite discussion, and she got up to go to the bathroom to give herself a break. When she returned, the guy was jumping down her throat, not letting her say anything, putting words in her mouth, and getting angry at her.

She picked up her phone and texted her friend for help, as she grew concerned over how hostile he was being. He was actually yelling at her in the restaurant, which added to Erika’s shock.

Erika tried apologizing to the guy for giving him the wrong impression, and that didn’t go over well.

“He said, ‘Ok, well, you can pay me half of our food bill.’ And I said, ‘What’s your Cash App? Unless you want to take me to small claims court, like fine, whatever,'” Erika added.

“He’s like, ‘Oh, I’ll win. I’ll win.’ And of course, I’m like, ‘Mmm…actually, you wouldn’t because I never promise you any type of service that I didn’t deliver on. We went on a date, I have texts where you’re asking me on a date, where you’re going to take me to dinner, and we’re deciding on where we’re going to go, never in that did we discuss that I would be paying half.'”

“‘But ok, and instead of going through all of that, how about I just Cash App you, so what’s your Cash App?’ So I had to pay this man for half of our bill. I did. Gladly. Get me out of here.”

After Erika paid him $50 for their dinner, the guy surprisingly backed down and apologized to her. He did say her face was telling, and Erika reminded him that she was trying to de-escalate their conversation.

Erika wrapped up the date by standing up for herself and mentioning that she didn’t appreciate how he was speaking to her before throwing in that her friend was waiting for her outside, so she was leaving.

She got up, wished him a good night, and he spent the rest of the evening texting her paragraphs-long apologies and asking to take her out again.

“I’m done. I don’t want to date anyone else. I think I’m good. So, men out there, please don’t do that. If she disagrees with something, change the subject, put it aside, and put that away, up on a shelf, maybe even talk about that later,” Erika said.

“To the girls out there, if your girl texts you help, help me, please, just run. She needs you, and it wasn’t like I was not safe, I just knew this was going to end real bad. I was going to catch a felony.”
