For the past few years, TikToker Mackenna (@kenna7486) has been cleaning one client’s house, and she thinks there might be some paranormal activity going on in the house.
Mackenna started her own business and cleans houses for a living. She has always gotten a weird vibe from the house, but nothing ever compared to the last time she was there.
She was in the kitchen cleaning with her headphones on when she suddenly started hearing strange noises, even though no one was home. At first, she thought the noises were coming from outside because it was storming.
She took off her headphones and looked around. As she was peering through the sliding glass door, she felt a cold rush of air behind her. When she turned around, nothing was there. The noises kept happening, but she tried to ignore them.
Next, she went upstairs to clean the main bathroom. Just as she was finishing up the tub, she caught sight of a black shadow making its way into the bedroom.
She stopped dead in her tracks. She was freaking out because she still had at least 30 more minutes of cleaning to do.
When she walked down the hallway to flush out the dirty mop water, she saw a shadow in the guest bedroom. She knew she had to get out of there immediately.
“What makes this story even freakier is that I came home that evening and didn’t tell anyone. I just let it go,” said Mackenna.
“My mother-in-law sent me a message this morning and was like, ‘I just had this weird urge to pray over you.'”

Now, she doesn’t know whether to bring up the ghosts to her client or not. Many TikTok users shared similar ghost stories in the comments section.
“I was sitting with an elderly man and his wife, and he asked me for a pencil, and I said I can’t find a pencil, but here’s a pen. He gets done filling out a paper. We were at the kitchen table, and he left to go to the dining room. I’m still at the table, and a pencil goes flying past me and lands on the floor. I told the ghost thank you, but we don’t need it now,” wrote one user.
“I babysat for a family that had just bought an old home in Maplewood, NJ. They were having their kitchen renovated, so the only kitchen they could use was in the basement, and the basement was so dark and creepy. I would bring the baby down there with me to clean up some dishes from dinner, and I could feel someone staring at me,” shared another.
“My home is haunted, kind of the same thing with shadows and noises. Nothing bad, nothing hurtful. I never told my cleaners about it because I didn’t want to scare them away, but luckily for me, she brought it up one day. She said she will talk to it, and then she was okay with it, and she’s been cleaning for me for seven years now,” added someone else.
