5 Years Ago This Teen Flew Across The Country To Move To A New City And She Disappeared Shortly After Arriving

Atlanta, Georgia. 19-year-old Morgan Bauer picked up and left her home in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and flew across the country so that she could get a fresh start in a big city.

Atlanta seemed like a much more exciting option than Aberdeen to Morgan, and so she decided it was time to make her move.

Morgan landed in Atlanta on February 12th, 2016. She only had a couple of dollars to her name, but she was determined to figure things out and make it there.

Although Morgan was focused on creating a new life for herself, she really didn’t have much planned out by the time she got to Atlanta.

Morgan thought fast and was able to meet someone online that was looking for help around the house in exchange for her living there.

That arrangement didn’t last very long, and Morgan went from that house to a local hotel.

Desperately in need of money, Morgan began working as a dancer in a few clubs, hoping that she would be able to make ends meet that way.

As she was working to get on her feet, Morgan kept in close contact with her loved ones and remained active on her social media profiles.

That all changed though on February 25th, the day that Morgan was last seen. A few days later on February 29th was the final time she posted on social media before she went silent.

“Since her disappearance, an investigation done has shown that her phone was last used on February 25, 2016,” a change.org petition for Morgan reads.

“Her phone location was last pinged to the town where a couple, last been seen and admitted to being with Morgan around the time of her disappearance, lived at the time.”

“Morgan’s last post on Facebook was a post about Club Tease, where she states, “And I work here!”.”

“It was later found that the woman she was last seen with had also auditioned with Morgan the day of her disappearance and Morgan had offered to buy her license, as required for dancers by the city of Atlanta.”

“Investigations have also discovered that the same couple had alarming posts on Facebook directly correlating to the time Morgan disappeared.”

“They are menacing, and in one, the female even posts a meme “Bob likes to kill, Bob kills for fun” tagging her boyfriend.”

“A minimal investigation has been done into this couple and the land they lived on at the time of the disappearance. Since this time, the couple has separated and live in other and separate states. They have never been formally cleared as suspects.”

It’s now been 5 years, and Morgan is nowhere to be found. Her phone has also never been recovered, and she hasn’t had any more posts on social media.

Morgan’s mom Sherri has tried her best to help search the Atlanta area for her, but although she hasn’t gotten any solid leads, she hasn’t given up.

“I spoke to Detective Rivers tonight to see if there are any updates. There are none. A few possible sightings,” Sherri wrote in a Facebook post from June 27th.

“After so much time has passed, he does not believe Morgan is choosing this on her own,” she continued.

“My intention has always been and will continue to be to find my daughter. I will never stop. I am relentless and resilient and you are my everything. I love you, Morgan.”
