Last Year, She Was Last Seen Walking Around Her Tiny Town, But Then She Disappeared
Twenty-seven-year-old Olivia Fowler grew up with her sister, Roxanne, in Woodbury, Georgia– a tiny town within Meriwether County.
But, despite the small town having just one grocery store and not many other attractions, the pair of sisters always found ways to have fun.
“We would drive around in the car, listen to music,” Roxanne recalled in an interview with NBC.
Then, once reaching adulthood, Olivia and her sister only grew closer after they realized they were expecting children at the same time. The young mother then went on to have two more children and absolutely adored her family.
“Olivia never had many friends; she was just always a family person,” Roxanne said.
So, when Olivia mysteriously disappeared on August 13, 2021, her loved ones were immediately concerned.
Roxanne last saw her sister the morning before, on August 12, while she was getting ready for work. And according to her, Olivia seemed just fine.
They had both been at their mother’s home, and Olivia had asked to use Roxanne’s phone to listen to music. But Roxanne was running late for work, so she told her sister she had to go. And the last thing Roxanna told Olivia was that she loved her before leaving the house.

Later that night, Olivia reportedly stayed at her boyfriend’s house in Manchester. And once her boyfriend was ready to go to sleep, Olivia apparently said she was going to sit out on the porch to smoke a cigarette.
When Olivia’s boyfriend awoke on August 13, though, Olivia was nowhere to be found.
According to Roxanne, some neighbors claimed to have spotted Olivia walking down the street at 7:38 a.m. And over two hours afterward, a Georgia Department of Natural Resources officer also saw Olivia at 10:00 a.m.
In hindsight, Roxanne believes that her sister might have been walking to a small part of town known as “The Cove.”
But, what exactly happened during Olivia’s walk, and if she ever made it there, remains unknown.
By August 14, 2021, the Fowler family had grown increasingly concerned after realizing that no one in town had spoken to Olivia since Friday.
So, she was reported missing that day, and the search for the missing mother of three has unfortunately continued without answers.
Since last year, the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office has executed over twenty search warrants and conducted multiple searches in various counties and states in hopes of finding Olivia.
Chief Deputy Byron Hadley even revealed that their department had deployed land and air operations, as well as K-9 units.

Nonetheless, the diligent efforts all came up dry. So, in May of 2022, the FBI officially joined the case and has been aiding the search efforts ever since. The FBI’s Atlanta Division also issued a plea for help from community members on its website, urging anyone who has spotted Olivia or who has knowledge of her disappearance to contact their local FBI office.
In the meantime, though, Roxanne and the rest of Olivia’s family have been left wrestling with grief and the bizarre circumstances of the situation– more specifically, how Olivia was never one to just up and disappear.
“It is very, very odd. It’s a really small town, and everybody talks,” Roxanne said. “And it has been a really tough time on me, my family, her children. It’s been rough.”
Still, the Fowlers are not giving up hope. They have passed out flyers, posted yard signs, and even created a Facebook group dedicated to finding Olivia. The group, known as “Olivia’s Army,” is committed to raising awareness about the case.
Olivia’s cousin Amber said in a Facebook post, “She’s so smart and beautiful. Compassionate and kind. She’s got the sweetest southern accent I’ve ever heard! And she’s so loved. More than she’ll ever know.”
Olivia is five-foot-two, weighs one hundred and five pounds, and has green eyes and dirty blonde hair. She is also missing a tooth on her mouth’s right side and had a tattoo of the words “I love you” on her right arm. If you have any information regarding Olivia’s case, you are urged to contact the Meriwether County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 672-4489 or your local FBI office.
