She And Her Husband Told Her In-Laws That They Were Expecting After Battling Infertility, But Her In-Laws Actually Got Mad And Said The News Was A Burden Since She And Her Husband Would Probably Lose The Baby Anyway

For almost four years, this 32-year-old woman and her husband, 33, have been trying to have a baby.
In 2020, she got pregnant, but she tragically suffered a loss, and the complications caused her to become infertile as a result.
Understandably, this has been a difficult ordeal for her and her husband.
Not long ago, they did their first round of IVF, and she is now seven weeks pregnant.
“It feels like an absolute miracle considering all we had to go through. However, I am high risk due to some issues and have a higher-than-normal risk of miscarriage, but we are both incredibly excited that we have this chance at all,” she said.
Sadly, her in-laws haven’t been supportive throughout their difficult time, even acting apathetic.
Numerous times, her husband has been deeply hurt by his parents’ uncaring nature while they have been going through so much emotional turmoil.
Despite the way her in-laws have acted, she and her husband have done their best to keep them in the loop about their fertility situation.
Her parents, on the other hand, have been incredibly supportive and kind. They have given her and her husband a ride to their appointments and offered any help they needed.

When she and her husband told them the news of their recent success with IVF, her parents were beyond thrilled.
Even though this would be her mother’s third grandchild, she still cried tears of joy when she learned of their pregnancy.
Later, she and her husband were at a get-together with her husband’s family, and they decided to let her in-laws know about their success with IVF.
Shockingly, her father-in-law was furious with the news.
“He said it was way too early to tell them, and we shouldn’t have burdened them with this as we’ll likely lose the baby like we did last time. He was genuinely angry we told them like we had given them horrific news. We were both quite taken aback about getting scolded for sharing what we thought would be happy news. My mother-in-law reacted like I told her about the weather. ‘Oh. That’s nice. Anyway…’ which was also very odd,” she explained.
This deeply upset her husband, rightfully so. His parents’ responses made him wonder if they should have bothered telling them about their pregnancy at all.
However, she believed that since this was the first time that they would be grandparents, it was the right decision to tell them.
Plus, her parents already knew. In her view, it wouldn’t have been fair to keep the information from her in-laws.
“I told my mother about it, and she said they must have their reasons, and they are probably just worried for us and don’t know how they might be feeling inside about it, but I don’t know how to feel,” she shared.
Now, she wonders whether she and her husband should have waited until they were further along in the pregnancy. She worries that maybe it was wrong of them to break the news to her in-laws so early on.
But they only told her in-laws because they were obviously so overjoyed and wanted to share their excitement despite the possibility that a miscarriage could still happen.
Her in-laws’ reaction caught her off guard, so upon reflection, she wonders if they shouldn’t have told them about their successful round of IVF since they were so unhappy about it.
