She’s Friends With The Photographer Who Worked At Her Brother’s Wedding, And They Sent Her A Sibling Photo Taken On Their Cellphone, So She Posted It On Social Media, But Her New Sister-In-Law Was Furious That She Wasn’t Included And Didn’t Get To Approve The Image First

This woman’s older brother, who is 39, just got married to his 37-year-old girlfriend two weeks ago. Apparently, the happy couple had been together for eight years.

While she was happy for her brother, though, she and her new sister-in-law have always had a rocky relationship.

“I think my sister-in-law’s bossy, entitled, and I’ve never loved the way she talks to our parents specifically,” she admitted.

Nonetheless, she’s just glad that her brother is happy, which is why she did everything she could to ensure the wedding was a beautiful day.

For instance, she designed all of the invitations and signage. She also helped her mom create the labels for a whopping 400 wedding favors.

She didn’t charge her brother or his wife for this, either. Instead, she was glad to volunteer her time and skills because the groom was her brother.

One of her close friends also happened to be the photographer for the event, which allowed her brother and sister-in-law to get a significant discount on photo services.

However, the fact that she was friends with the photographer also started some major drama following the big day.

It all began just yesterday when her photographer friend decided to send her a picture of just her and her three siblings at the wedding.

“The photographer had taken it on her cellphone for me in between photos so we could have it a little sooner than formal portraits, and I didn’t think anything of it,” she explained.

That’s why she went ahead and posted the picture on social media right after receiving it. After all, she was happy to be photographed with her favorite people. Plus, she thought everyone looked amazing– especially since she had lost an impressive 190 pounds since their last sibling picture.

But, just 20 minutes after she put the photo online, she received a phone call from her sister-in-law on her work phone. Apparently, they both work for the same hospital network.

Anyway, her sister-in-law was literally in tears over the photo since she wasn’t included as the bride, and her sister-in-law hadn’t even seen the image yet. At that point, she tried to detail how her photographer friend had just sent it to her.

“And it was a candid cellphone snap of the four of us goofing around that my friend thought I’d like to have,” she added.

Well, that didn’t make the post any better in her sister-in-law’s eyes, and her sister-in-law actually just freaked out on her. On top of that, her sister-in-law also called up the photographer and screamed at them, too!

Now, she doesn’t think her social media post was worth all of that drama. Nonetheless, since her friend was the hired photographer, her sister-in-law still wanted “final approval” before any images were posted from the wedding.

“So I deleted it as requested, but that still feels extreme to me,” she vented.

Regardless, since her sister-in-law got so upset over the photo, she’s now been left wondering if posting a picture that the bride wasn’t in on social media was really a jerky thing to do.

Can you understand why she didn’t think posting the picture would be a big deal? Should brides get to approve all wedding photos, even if they’re taken on cell phones? Do you think her sister-in-law overreacted or not?
