Kristin Carol (@kristincfox34 on TikTok) has one of the most unhinged dating stories I’ve come across, and Kristin says she’s been hesitant to tell this story since the guy knows where she lives.
Kristin met this man on a dating app, and they formed a fast connection after a wonderful first date. Kristin values men who show interest and intent, and he checked those boxes.
This man told Kristin that he was a widower. His wife passed away, leaving him to raise his three young daughters all alone. Kristin thought he was a great dad, as he was so involved with the care of his kids.
Looking back, Kristin says the first red flag was that this man talked about how much he wanted to get married on their third date, but Kristin took it as a sign of how much he liked her.
Kristin dated him for three months, and towards the end, this guy was pushing Kristin for marriage, which left her feeling unsettled.
“Instead of saying when you’re my wife, which that already alone would be kind of freaky, but it’s weird he didn’t use that language, the language he used was when you’re the girls’ stepmom,” Kristin explained in her video.
“So that to me was the flag where I was like something is amiss, he’s desperate not to make me his wife, for him, but to make me his wife to be his child’s caretaker. So then I thought something weird is going on, get out of this now.”
Kristin trusted her instincts and broke things off with him, and he still acted like nothing but a gentleman when Kristin walked away.
A year and a half later, Kristin received a phone call from a girl who wanted to know if Kristin was still seeing the widower. Kristin said they had broken up, and this girl revealed to her that she had been dating him, and he talked about Kristin a ton.

This girl said she found her phone number in his phone, and it seemed that Kristin was still an important part of his life. Kristin reconfirmed that this guy hadn’t been in contact with her since their breakup, so she didn’t have to worry about him cheating.
Kristin talked to this girl for three whole hours on the phone, and she really had only called to see if the guy was a cheater, but a lot of information came out as the minutes ticked by.
The girl asked Kristin if she was aware that this guy had been arrested for murdering his wife. Kristin was horrified, because she had not known that before.
Kristin had questioned this guy while they were together about how his wife died, and he failed to mention that he had caused it!
“He told me she shot herself. This man got arrested for shooting her and killing her. He’s wealthy, so he immediately paid the $100,000 that’s the statute in Texas for bonding yourself out of jail when you’re headed to prison…when you’re convicted of a capital crime, and it’s going to be a jury trial,” Kristin added.
“…What it looks like happened was, his wife left, filed for divorce, threatened to take his daughters away, so when she came to do a visitation exchange at one point, the fight ensued, he keeps weapons in the house because he’s very Texas, obviously, and one thing led to another, and she ended up dead.”
“He did have two scars I noticed when we were together in his thigh, that look like bullet wounds. I asked him about them at that point, and he told me I’ll have to tell you that story someday.”
“So the prevailing theory by the police department is that he shot her dead and then shot himself to make it look like she shot him and then killed herself.”
Kristin read an article about the incident. She actually had slept in his house, where his wife had passed away. Kristin said he treated her better than any other man, and he had done something horrible.
Kristin suspects this man was so desperate to find a new wife so he could pass his kids off on her, since there was still a risk he could have gone to prison when Kristin was involved with him.
“Can’t make this…up, y’all. This is what’s on the dating apps, and that is why I’ve stopped,” Kristin concluded.
