When it comes to dating, it’s certainly attractive to meet someone who knows what they want. But how would you feel if on a second date, you had that person saying they want to marry you before inviting you to move in with them? Would you find that kind of a breakneck pace alarming?

This 37-year-old man recently went out on a second date with a girl exactly 10 years younger than he is. This girl has her own company and makes tons more money than he does.

Although that’s pretty exciting, she’s just not his type, and he has been attempting to grow fond of her since she is a catch on paper.

And, he did like her at least enough to give her a second date. On that, by the way, this girl revealed that she had already told her pastor all about him, and this man said she had to hurry up and marry him.

It wasn’t just this girl’s pastor who thinks they should be running to the altar; she literally said to him that she wants to get married to him as well.

“She showed pictures of me with my cat to the pastor. Secondly, her business has access to private records, and she looked up all my records (which I found kind of weird) and saw everything (which is only a couple of minor traffic tickets),” he explained.

“She really was so sold on me that she wants to marry me, which is crazy. That’s moving way, way, way too fast. I keep telling her that I’m very, very slow to warm to people.”

“Then she said she wants me to move in with her at her apartment (I live with my parents after getting divorced a couple [of] years ago and losing my house), but I’m not that comfortable doing that.”

This girl went on to say that she finds him ridiculously handsome and has insisted that he looks amazing. She even asked him if he’s looked in a mirror lately, because he’s that hot.

While yes, this is one of the most flattering things a female has ever said to him, he doesn’t exactly share the same sentiment. So, no, he’s not attracted to her, and he feels super pressured to jump into the deep end.

“…I’m trying to hold on, but I might have to break her heart and end this because it’s way too fast for me,” he concluded.

Ok, this is a textbook example of love bombing, where someone showers you with attention and flattery while moving too fast in order to manipulate you.

No normal person is saying they want to marry or move in with someone on a second date, because that’s not enough time to get to know someone. So, he should be running for the hills, not the altar with this girl.

Given her level of insanity, he should just block her and move on.

What advice do you have for him?
