She’s Considering A Divorce Because Her Husband Doesn’t Treat Her As An Equal And Puts Her Down For Not Making Enough Money

This 28-year-old woman has been with her husband, who is 34, for five years and married for about three years. They also have a kid together.

Ever since the beginning of their relationship, her husband has also apparently preached about wanting everything to be equal between them.

“But in action, it’s always just been financial,” she revealed.

For instance, they have always split the cost of everything evenly, despite the fact that her husband has always earned more money. She was also always the person who went grocery shopping, cooked and cleaned their home.

Not to mention, she paid for all of their groceries completely by herself. Her husband just paid 50% of their bills.

Then, two years ago, they welcomed their child into the world. And her husband’s way of doing things started to take a serious toll on her.

They started to have arguments– mainly because running a household by herself was a very challenging job. Afterward, she began to work part-time.

“This wasn’t without faults like me still paying 50% of the bills on maternity leave while he was making loads of money,” she said.

Nowadays, her husband has begun paying the majority of the bills. But since taking over financially, he has started treating her like “an annoying pest.”

For example, if he ever loses something– or if she loses an item– and she doesn’t know exactly where it is, her husband will respond in a really snarky and sarcastic way.

He is also always complaining about their daughter’s room being too unorganized. But whenever she actually has time to sit down and organize the space, it’s always when her daughter is already asleep inside the bedroom.

Anyway, she just feels like her husband is constantly criticizing every little thing she does. And even when she asks him not to speak to her like that, he just accuses her of being too sensitive.

On top of that, she claimed that her husband does not make any time to just talk with her or be together.

He does not enjoy doing any of the things she likes, such as going to cafes, eating out, exploring cute villages, or drinking new wines.

In fact, her husband just criticizes her for drinking coffee and wine because he thinks they are unhealthy.

All of this doesn’t make her feel like her husband’s partner or an equal.

“I feel like his maid. He just speaks to me in a way that’s so nasty and rude,” she explained.

She is also still young and attractive, as is her husband. So, she gets hit on by other men all the time.

And given her situation at home, she cannot help but wonder how it would feel to finally have a partner who genuinely values her.

Right now, she already takes care of their child, works when she can, keeps their house clean, and makes homemade meals from scratch every single night.

That’s why she honestly feels like her husband is extremely lucky to have her.

“But all he does is put me down for not making enough money and being ‘unmotivated.’ He keeps saying he feels bad for me because I have no career passion in life,” she vented.

However, she genuinely feels like everything in her life is great except for her husband.

Yet, whenever she tries to bring up her concerns, her husband acts like he is the victim and paints her as the bad guy.

So now, she is actually considering ending their marriage and is wondering where to go from here.

Even if she doesn’t contribute financially anymore, doesn’t it sound like she is doing way more than her fair share at home? Why do you think her husband only values financial contributions? How would you feel if you were in her shoes? Would you want to end your marriage, too?
