His Neighbor's Pit Bull Murdered His Five-Pound Yorkie On A Nightly Walk

Recently, TikToker @user111333745 had something terrible happen to his dog. His 11-year-old, five-pound Yorkie was murdered by a pit bull on her nightly walk.

It had been a really nice day. When his mom came home from work, they went to the grocery store, made dinner, and fed their dog.

Afterward, the dog wanted to go out, so @user111333745's mom took her out for a walk. The tragedy happened fast, in a span of just three minutes.

He was inside cleaning up after dinner when a neighbor knocked on the door to inform him that something happened with his dog. He immediately went outside and saw a large group of people surrounding the street corner.

"My mom is screaming bloody murder," recalled @user111333745. "She's traumatized. She got put in the line of danger as well, trying to remove this dog from our dog."

On this street corner, there is a pit bull that lives in the house and often frequents the backyard. The pit bull has charged at the fence aggressively and barked loudly every time they walk past.

"So, anytime I would walk my dog...I used to pick her up if I knew the dog was out there because it would always bark," said @user111333745. "I would pick her up, cross the street, and go a different way."

This time, while his mom was walking their Yorkie, she had no idea the pit bull was in the backyard because she did not hear it barking.

The fence was also broken down and needed fixing. The pit bull managed to slip through the fence and make a sneak attack. It grabbed the Yorkie in its jaws and ran underneath a parked car.

"My mom had to physically go under the car and try to get this dog by its collar to try to let go of my dog while she's frantic and hysterically crying and screaming," said @user111333745.

"Every neighbor came outside to try to get this vicious, psychotic killing animal off of my dog. Eventually, the owners picked it up, choked it out until it let go of my dog."

By the time @user111333745 arrived on the scene, his dog was dead on the grass. She had been in the family since 2015 and was well-loved. She ate the best food, had monthly groomings, and regular check-ups. Everyone who met her had loved her.

At first, he didn't know what to do. He drove to the nearest veterinarian, but they were closed. Finally, he just took her back home. A family friend who dealt with cremation services came over to take care of their dog's body.

They also called the police. The cops came hours later and weren't able to do much about the situation.

So, @user111333745 and his family went to the precinct to file a report. They were told that since the pit bull didn't have any previous reported offenses, there was nothing anyone could do.

He pointed out that their neighborhood is a kid-friendly place. Little kids often ride their bikes past the fence, and elderly people walk their smaller dogs past the fence as well. Everyone in the neighborhood is at risk of being attacked by this vicious pit bull.

"I don't necessarily blame the dog," said @user111333745. "I blame the lazy, incompetent, irresponsible dog owners. I'm not sure of the family dynamic at this home."

"I've spoken to the mother plenty of times when I was just walking my dog in the past three years that we've lived here. She's a very sweet woman. I believe this is their son's dog that lives with them."

"The dog is not kept, to be honest. I think it literally just sits in the house all day. I rarely see it ever being walked. They just throw it in the backyard and, I guess, hope for the best."

Someday, he wants to get justice for his Yorkie, whose life was taken away too soon. By spreading awareness of the dangers of being an irresponsible dog owner, he feels that this is at least a small step toward justice. He also hopes to prevent others from becoming victims of such an incident.
