Mom Killed Along With Her 4 Kids After They Got Hit Head-On By Someone Going The Wrong Way

Lexington, Kentucky. 30-year-old Catherine Greene was married to her husband Jon and together they shared 4 children.

Jon had 2 daughters from a previous marriage; 11-year-old Santanna and 9-year-old Karmen. After Catherine and Jon got married, they had 2 sons together; 5-year-old Brayden and 2-year-old Jack.

Although Catherine was technically a stepmom to Santanna and Karmen, she loved the girls like they were her own and never treated them differently from her sons.

On June 5th, Catherine had all 4 kids in the car with her when she was driving down Interstate 75, a highway that runs through 6 separate states.

That day, someone had called 911 to report that a person was driving down the highway Catherine and the children were on, and this person was going the wrong way.

Officers with the Lexington Police Department tried to find the person…

…But before they could, the wrong-way driver hit Catherine and the kids head-on as the family passed by mile marker 104 in Lexington.

At around 12:23 that afternoon, officers with the Lexington Police Department rushed to the scene of the accident.

“Upon arrival officers located the dark passenger car operated by a 38-year-old female who was deceased,” the Lexington Police Department explained in a press release.

“The dark passenger car had struck a white passenger car head-on. A deceased child was located in the front passenger seat of the white car.”

“An additional three children and the 30-year-old driver of the white passenger car were transported to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.”

Although the victims of the fatal accident were not identified, an obituary for Catherine and her 4 children says that “they passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.”

“My daughter (adopted) was traveling north on I-75 and at mile marker 102 she did not know what was headed in her path,” one GoFundMe page created for Catherine and the children reads.

“Another car had got on the interstate headed south on the northbound lanes. It struck her head-on. She and her 4 children all died due to injuries sustained by the other car.”

“The children were 11, 9, 5, 2 years old. Karmen, Santana, Brayden, and Jack. Her husband Jon is needing help. Catherine met Jon in 2017, and it was love at first sight.”

“They blended 3 children and had one together after losing one to miscarriage. Their love remained strong and according to her husband they “did everything together”.”
