Her Mother-In-Law Nearly Sabotaged Her Wedding By Impersonating Her And Trying To Change Her Wedding Dress Order, So She Uninvited Her Mother-In-Law

This 26-year-old woman and her fiancé, who is 29, have been together for four years. Unfortunately, though, her mother-in-law has never liked her throughout the entire duration of their relationship.
She admitted to having absolutely no idea why her mother-in-law has always been cold toward her.
“But after multiple attempts over the years to build some type of relationship with her, nothing has worked,” she said.
While her mother-in-law could not have cared less about her in the past, though, all of that changed after she and her fiancé got engaged and started planning their wedding.
Now, to be clear, she and her fiancé are paying for the majority of their wedding. But, her father and stepmother will be financially contributing also.
Her mother-in-law and father-in-law, on the other hand, have not contributed to the event at all.
“But my mother-in-law is giving her opinion on things as if she is footing the bill,” she revealed.
For instance, her mother-in-law tried to tell her what color palette to use and what dishes needed to be served on the menu, and said that she shouldn’t do an open bar because then, guests would get “too rowdy.”
Her mother-in-law also instructed her to “make sure” she seats her mother-in-law, her fiancé’s aunt, and her fiancé’s cousin in the front row of the wedding ceremony, among other things.

So, quite frankly, she and her fiancé got sick and tired of her mother-in-law’s tendency to intervene. And after a while, they decided to politely shut down her mother-in-law’s suggestions and reiterate that they had everything under control.
Still, when it came time to go wedding dress shopping, she “regretfully” decided to invite her mother-in-law to come– because, while she was not thrilled about the idea, she also didn’t want her mother-in-law feeling left out.
Ever since they went dress shopping a few weeks ago, though, a ton of drama has unfolded.
Apparently, it all began on the day of her gown search– when she went with her own mother, her mother-in-law, and some close friends.
Then, while shopping, she reportedly found her ultimate dream dress. She detailed how she naturally has a curvy, hourglass figure– and the gown she found showed off her curves perfectly and made her feel totally gorgeous.
“The dress is kind of revealing– low cut on the chest and mermaid style– but it is nothing I would be ashamed of my family and friends seeing me in,” she explained.
Well, unfortunately, her mother-in-law wound up totally hating the dress she picked out– and her mother-in-law made sure she knew that.
In fact, her mother-in-law even decided to say, “This is a wedding, not a…club. I don’t like it.”
Regardless, she was over the unwanted opinions and decided to just buy the dress anyway. After all, she was the only person paying for it.
But then, just a couple of days ago, she and her fiancé were cleaning up after eating dinner when she received a call from the dress shop.
Apparently, they were very concerned because a lady– her mother-in-law– had called the shop pretending to be her. And while doing that, her mother-in-law tried to switch the wedding gown she chose to a “more appropriate dress.”
Thankfully, the sales associate who took her mother-in-law’s call realized that her mother-in-law’s phone number did not match the number on her wedding dress order. So, the associate called her immediately to inform her that her mother-in-law had tried to go behind her back.
And to say that she was furious would be an understatement. Her fiancé also happened to hear everything the sales associate told her, and he was livid, too.
So, her fiancé ultimately called his mom to confront her. And after her mother-in-law tried to deny everything a few times, she eventually confessed to the entire thing.
By that point, though, she was completely done with all of the drama and decided to put her foot down once and for all.
“I told my mother-in-law that if she’s so bothered by my dress, then to consider herself uninvited from the wedding. And I hung up on her,” she vented.
If you could not have guessed, though, his mother-in-law did not take that well and has since been blowing up her and her fiancé’s phones in an attempt to explain herself.
And while she does feel bad for her fiancé– because he will not get to have his mother-son dance– she has seriously had enough.
Still, in the wake of the incident, she has been left wondering whether uninviting her mother-in-law from her wedding was the wrong thing to do or not.
Can you believe her mother-in-law tried to go behind her back like that? Would you be furious if your mother-in-law did that? Did she have a right to uninvite her mother-in-law from the wedding? If you had been in her shoes, would you have done the same?
