She Returned The PS5 She Got For Her Boyfriend’s Birthday After He And His Friends Insulted Her Dating History
This 26-year-old woman has been dating her boyfriend, Mike, who is 27, for four years. And since it was Mike’s birthday two days ago, she decided to dip into her savings to buy him a new PS5 as a present.
Apparently, that was the only thing her boyfriend claimed to want for his special day. So Mike basically knew he would be getting a PS5, and being that they’d been together for a while, the cost did not matter to her.
“That was until I found out what he thought about me,” she revealed.
For context, back when she was 18 years old and just dipping her toe into the dating pool, she started dating a guy she met online named Jake.
They only went out for about three months before they ended things. Then, she moved on and wound up meeting a different guy at work named Adam.
Well, she did not find out until months afterward that Jake and Adam were actually best friends. Since she didn’t know Jake long enough to get introduced to his friend group, she simply had no idea.
Anyway, after that news was uncovered, she just decided to take a break from dating. And two years later, she eventually met Mike, her current boyfriend.
When they first entered a relationship, she was upfront about her past, too, and admitted to getting unintentionally involved with guys who happened to be best friends.
Still, at the time, Mike claimed that her past didn’t bother him. That’s why they moved on and have been in a great relationship ever since.

Yet, when she showed up at her boyfriend’s birthday party two days ago, everything changed.
She obviously arrived with the PS5 as a gift. And her boyfriend, as well as his friends, were seriously ecstatic.
But then, one of Mike’s female friends, Jessica, laughed and made a really rude comment. Jessica claimed to “wish” that she was also easy and promiscuous in order to afford a PS5, too.
Obviously, she was very confused by that remark, and she wound up looking at Jessica with a face that said, “Excuse me?” Regardless, Jessica just walked away and told her, “nevermind.”
That’s why she decided to confront her boyfriend about the weird comment, but he didn’t see anything wrong with it.
“Jessica’s just messing with you. You can’t take a joke?” her boyfriend responded.
She was not going to let the comment go, though, and she kept pushing to find out why Jessica decided to start calling her names in the first place.
Afterward, she finally found out the truth. Mike told her that “everyone knew” she had been easy before they met. It also came out that her boyfriend had told all of his friends about how she had “messed with best friends” prior to her current relationship.
Mike then even had the nerve to just pat her on the shoulder and claim it was “okay” since she was not the same person anymore. Plus, her boyfriend claimed that if he was able to get over her “colorful past” and “[easy] mentalities,” then she should be able to look past Jessica’s remark and give the girl another chance!
After hearing all of that, she was stunned and knew she had to go.
“I didn’t say anything. I just got up, took the PS5 from the table, and left,” she recalled.
This seriously angered Mike, too, and he blew up her phone with 20 calls. Quite frankly, though, she did not care.
Instead, the comments had hurt her feelings so badly that she just ripped the bow off the PS5, took it back to the store, and returned it.
“They happily refunded it,” she said.
Anyway, after that, she thought she was finished with the whole situation. However, her boyfriend and all of his friends– including Jessica– continued to just berate her and accuse her of being petty.
Plus, they even claimed that she brought the situation on herself by making poor choices in the past!
So, she wound up just responding to Mike and saying that since he deserves someone better than her, then he can go find someone who is not easy. She also claimed that Mike could get a PS5 from a new girl because she already returned it.
This caused Mike to start screaming at her and calling her “the biggest jerk” for returning to gift. Then, he even tried to say that she should have been happy that he “ignored” her “colorful past.”
And now, due to her boyfriend’s comments, she’s been left wondering if she did actually take it too far by returning the birthday gift.
