Her Boyfriend’s Grandmother Freaked Out And Claimed She Would Be A Terrible Wife Because She Doesn’t Do Things For Her Boyfriend As The “Woman In The Relationship”

This 22-year-old woman and her boyfriend, who is 22, recently moved into his grandparents’ home just six days ago.
Apparently, her boyfriend’s parents offered to have them move in for free and were actually very supportive of the whole idea.
“We were previously living on our own and renting our own apartment, but severely struggling due to working full-time to pay the bills and going to college,” she recalled.
That’s why she and her boyfriend decided to take the offer. And after moving in last week, everything seemed to be going absolutely perfect.
She and her boyfriend began to save money since they no longer had to pay rent. They also graduated just prior to moving and were able to apply to numerous jobs.
But the cherry on top was that her boyfriend’s grandparents had been completely sweet and supportive of them.
The grandparents would offer her and her boyfriend food nearly every single day since his grandma always cooks a large amount. On top of that, they would get offered flowers and a bunch of other things.
To be clear, though, she and her boyfriend never asked for any help or handouts.
“We are used to living on our own and doing our own thing, so this has been very nice, and we have accepted most of their offers,” she explained.

“But we don’t need these things.”
Regardless, just yesterday, it seemed like her boyfriend’s grandmother’s generosity and sweetness turned into absolute anger. And the woman actually berated her to her face.
It all began after she and her boyfriend went strawberry picking. Then, upon arriving home, she decided to cut up the strawberries– after giving her boyfriend’s grandparents some– to freeze for smoothies.
Afterward, she placed the over-ripe strawberries, along with the tops of the berries she had cut, into the compost bin for her boyfriend’s grandparents’ garden. Apparently, his grandfather had instructed her to do that.
Anyway, all was well after that until about an hour later, when her boyfriend’s grandma yelled down and asked to speak with him.
At that point, her boyfriend went upstairs. Five minutes later, she also followed suit and walked in on her boyfriend’s grandmother screaming.
The grandma was yelling about how she had cut the strawberries “wrong,” which made her incredibly wasteful.
“She then went on about how I would make a terrible wife– I’m not joking– because I don’t cook three times a day for him, I don’t make the bed in the morning, and I do nothing all day,” she revealed.
And once her boyfriend’s grandma realized she was upstairs overhearing the comments, the woman actually just repeated the remarks straight to her face.
By the end, the grandma also claimed that she should be the one doing all of these responsibilities for her boyfriend since she is the “woman in the relationship.”
Still, the one thing that stuck out to her the most was how her boyfriend’s grandma kept on repeating that she does “nothing” all day.” And according to her, that could not be more false.
She actually takes care of the cleaning, groceries, and laundry. In the past, she and her boyfriend would also take turns cooking.
She did admit that her boyfriend used to complete the majority of the cooking since she worked long hours. But they have barely even cooked since moving into her boyfriend’s grandparents’ house since his grandma offers them food every single day.
She’s also just extremely confused because they have never once asked for help with anything.
“I don’t know, his grandma’s temper came out of nowhere and honestly scared me a bit. One thing is for sure, she was very mad at me and only me,” she vented.
“And I’ve never seen her react this way to anything as she is usually very well-mannered and well-tempered.”
So now, she’s been left trying to figure out what might be going on with the grandma and whether or not she has a right to be angry.
Why do you think her grandma freaked out like that? Would you be shocked, too? How would you deal with the aftermath of this situation?
