She’s Paying For Her Daughter And Stepson To Go To College, But Not Her Stepdaughter, Since This Girl Hates Her

Six years ago, this 39-year-old woman got married to her 54-year-old husband, and they have been together for eight years in total.
Her husband has two children from a previous relationship, who are 20 (a son) and 19 (a daughter named Emma).
She has a 9-year-old daughter, and she was widowed prior to meeting her husband. As soon as she did marry her husband, her stepdaughter Emma had extreme issues with this.
Meanwhile, she always got along wonderfully with her stepson, and her stepson was also excellent with her daughter.
“He is the best older brother out there,” she explained. “Emma did not like me, and she treated my daughter very badly, too, to the degree that [my daughter] almost never left my arms when [Emma] was home.”
“When Emma was 15, she permanently moved to live with her mother. My deceased husband left me a small fortune when he passed that I never touched since I had a good job and never wanted anything more, so last year, I helped pay my stepson’s [college] tuition.”
She’s planning to pay for her daughter to attend college as well, and the money she has left over after that she will also give to her daughter to do whatever she wants.
So, while she is paying for her stepson and daughter to go to college, she’s not paying for Emma’s college education.
While she certainly has more than enough money to pay for her stepson, her daughter, and Emma’s educations, she has no interest in paying for Emma because this girl absolutely hates her.

Ever since Emma found out about this, she went crazy and started calling her names. She doesn’t see how what she is doing is wrong, especially since she never got along with Emma.
“She always hated me, and I don’t think she’s becoming a good person, and honestly, I would rather leave more to my daughter than pay for her ungrateful [self],” she continued.
“My husband is sad because he thinks I am being unjust. I am very sad about it, but I still don’t feel I am [wrong].”
What do you think? Is she obligated to pay for Emma too?
