After Her Friend Humiliated Her At A Restaurant, She Left Their Trip Early And Went Home

A year ago, this girl’s friend Kelsey moved to a new city located four hours away from where she lives.
This past weekend, Kelsey invited her to come visit. As she planned out her trip with Kelsey, Kelsey questioned her about what she would enjoy doing.
She told Kelsey she was down for anything because she only cared about spending time with her.
The only thing she planned for the trip was a Sunday afternoon concert that she and Kelsey were stoked to go to.
On Saturday, she and Kelsey walked around the city while Kelsey pointed out different stores they could look around.
She was having a wonderful time wandering around and exploring, and she thought Kelsey was enjoying herself, too.
“She did ask me a couple of times what I wanted to do, and I said I didn’t know; if she knew of anything fun, let me know,” she explained.
“But I also said just what we were doing was nice. All in all, we walked around, got a bite to eat, looked at a few shops, and then it was time for dinner with her family.”
She and Kelsey intended to meet Kelsey’s family at a train station, but then they missed the train they were supposed to take.

Kelsey appeared to be annoyed, and she guessed it was because Kelsey was concerned that they would all miss their dinner reservation at the restaurant.
She did her best to reassure Kelsey the night would work out, and she actually called the restaurant to inform them that they would be a bit late.
After Kelsey’s parents got to the station, Kelsey walked over to her mom and sat down in a huff. Kelsey shot her mean glances the whole ride over to the restaurant.
She felt puzzled by Kelsey’s actions, as they had a great day, but suddenly, Kelsey’s mood changed.
“As we’re sitting down to eat, her mother asks what we did that day; before I can speak, Kelsey says, “Nothing. She didn’t know what she wanted to do,” she said.
“I chuckled a little and was going to say I had a good time when Kelsey interrupted and said, “It’s not cute. It was actually really annoying.” I was taken aback because she said nothing about being annoyed all day. She was making little jabs at me for not coming up with ideas.”
“Even her parents were side-eyeing her. It was pretty embarrassing. I really didn’t know what to do. If she had said something earlier, we could’ve talked. But I didn’t want to make things more awkward for her family. The whole dinner, she gave me nasty looks.”
After dinner ended, she and Kelsey made their way over to the hotel she was staying in, and Kelsey was visibly still bothered.
She asked Kelsey why she hadn’t said a word about this all day, and Kelsey said it should not have been dumped on her to plan everything.
She was shocked since Kelsey never communicated to her that she wanted her to come up with activities for them to do.
The following morning, she sent Kelsey a message asking what time they should leave to get to the concert.
Kelsey copped a complete attitude with her, so she replied to Kelsey that if she was still so upset, they should skip the concert. She promised to forward the ticket to Kelsey and sell her own.
“Suddenly, she started crying, saying I was being unfair and that I should just apologize,” she continued.
“I said I did apologize at dinner AND the hotel for not coming up with things to do, but I was also happy with what she did, and she should’ve communicated better.”
“I did as I promised and left. I was able to get a refund from the venue for my ticket. I got an early train back. Kelsey is still very upset with me and says she wasn’t wrong.”
She’s left wondering if it was rude of her to leave her trip early and go home alone after Kelsey humiliated her at the restaurant.
