According to TikToker Addie (@circleoflovecoaching), who is also a matchmaker, one of her clients had her marriage fall apart when she received earth-shattering news from the police.
Tammy was married to her husband for 17 years. She was a housewife and a stay-at-home mom. Her youngest were in elementary school, and the oldest was in their first year of high school.
One day, she heard a knock at her door. When she opened it, she was met face-to-face with the police. They told her that her 15-year-old babysitter, who lived next door, was having an affair with her husband. The police were called because the babysitter was a minor.
“She is utterly shocked,” said Addie. “She has just found out that the police believe her husband is sleeping with her next-door neighbor, who happens to be her 15-year-old babysitter. She is in the same class as her freshman-year daughter in high school.”
Tammy would use the girl as a babysitter for her younger kids when she took her oldest to dance competitions. She asked for proof of the affair, but the police told her that they could not provide her with hard evidence because the girl was underage.
She ended up hiring a private detective to get the information she needed. Then, she hired an attorney and went into hiding for a week when her husband got served with divorce papers.
The police never arrested him because the girl turned 16 while the investigation was still ongoing. Eventually, he married the girl when she turned 18, and they had two more kids together.
Tammy’s kids were really traumatized by the whole situation.
Years later, Tammy had finally forgiven him because she just wanted to peacefully co-parent without any drama. But then, karma happened. Her ex-husband’s new wife started cheating on him with another girl who was her coworker.

When he found out about the affair, he showed up at his wife’s workplace with a gun and tried to kidnap them. She ended up getting injured during the incident, and he soon suffered two strokes and a heart attack.
In the comments section, several TikTok users shared similar stories about inappropriate affairs and broken trust.
“Oh, this happened to the woman across the street from me. The girl and the man ended up married with kids,” commented one user.
“I had a client this happened to. She had three small children at the time. He was furious when she called the father of the student at the co-op where her husband worked,” wrote another.
“This happened to me. She ended up getting pregnant and named her child after my husband. He never did get in trouble. She was 16, the legal age of consent,” added someone else.
