When TikToker Laura (@lifeoflaurayt) was in high school, she lived on a very old farm in a very old house in central Virginia. It had been in the previous owner’s family for hundreds of years. There was even a small family cemetery on the property.
Her dad tore down the old house and built a log cabin for them to live in. Laura and her family were skeptics when it came to ghosts, but they couldn’t ignore what was going on in their house.
First of all, it was a beautiful home with a big, open living room and a loft. There was a bedroom on each side of the loft and one set of stairs that led to her parents’ bedroom.
Her bedroom was right above her parents’ bedroom. It always took her a while to fall asleep. One night, she was lying on her stomach as usual, covered by a down comforter.
She suddenly felt the blankets shift down, as if someone had sat down on the edge of the bed.
She thought the blankets were just settling and ignored it because it felt like the right thing to do in the moment. So, she rolled over, pulled the covers over her head, and slept like a baby for the rest of the night.
The next morning, her dad remarked that she had been up late. She told him that she had gone to bed at 10 p.m. and had slept through the night. He said that he had heard her walking back and forth from the bathroom to her bed all night long.
That freaked her out, but of course, her dad was ever the skeptic and told her there was nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, it was not the last time something like that would happen.

“Same thing happened to me, but it got under the blankets. When I turned to look, it was a young male. I yelled at him, and he was gone,” commented one user.
“I didn’t believe in ghosts until we moved into the house that I grew up in. My first experience happened when I was sitting on a recliner in the living room. In the corner of my eye, I saw a solid man’s hand about to touch my shoulder. I turned my head, and the hand vanished. I had bad experiences in that house. I’ve had numerous paranormal experiences throughout my life,” wrote another.
“I briefly rented a house where something would storm into the room and sit on the bed. I thought I was losing my mind at first,” chimed in a third.
