If you were busy hooking up with a key member of a wedding party and caused them to miss their speech and need an ambulance ride, would you feel like you ruined the whole day?
This 29-year-old woman’s 28-year-old best friend got married a week ago. She was the Maid of Honor, and the wedding was rather large, with a guest list of 200 people.
The wedding took place at an Airbnb in the country, and all of the bride and groom’s closest loved ones had their own bedrooms in the house.
She had her own room, as did the Best Man, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members. The Best Man is the groom’s brother, so she met him two years ago.
She always thought he was an odd duck, but after having a couple of drinks during the reception, she started chatting with him.
“Something about the energy at the wedding really put both of us in the mood, so we decided to sneak up to his room to hook up,” she explained.
“Things were heating up, so we started to move to his bed. I fell a little as I was taking my heels off, and he went to catch me, but in doing so, he hit his head on the wall sconce.”
“He hit himself so bad that the back of his head started bleeding. We immediately stopped, and I went to call for help while he tried to clean himself up.”
Luckily, the Best Man was fine, but they did have to call him an ambulance, because his head couldn’t stop bleeding. Due to all of that, the Best Man missed giving his speech at the reception.
She hasn’t revealed to anyone that they were hooking up, which is the reason why he missed out on the most important part of the wedding.
All of the guests were talking about the Best Man needing a ride in the ambulance, and she’s worried someone is going to find out what really happened.
“I’m scared that I ruined my best friend’s wedding, and I feel like it’s my fault because this was just a meaningless hookup and he wasn’t even that hot to begin with,” she concluded.
She’s left wondering if she’s a jerk for causing the Best Man to miss his speech.
They definitely could have waited until after the speeches were done, and they should have fulfilled their duties before running off like that.
She’s the worst best friend I have ever heard of, and she’s trashy on top of it. She took a day that was supposed to be about her best friend and ultimately made it about herself.
