She Realized Her Nephew Had Stolen Her Son’s Brand-New Nintendo Switch That He Got For Christmas, So She Snatched It Out of Her Nephew’s Hands, And Now Her Sister Is Furious At Her
This twenty-six-year-old woman has a son, who is five years old. And for this past Christmas, she and her girlfriend, who is twenty-five, decided to split an awesome gift for her son– a Nintendo Switch.
The present came out to just over four hundred dollars, but she was ecstatic to purchase this with her girlfriend. After all, her son had wanted the Switch since back in September when it was his birthday.
However, she just could not afford it at the time, and her son was over the moon to receive it on Christmas morning.
The day after Christmas, though, her sister and eight-year-old nephew decided to go over to her house on Monday. The plan was for them to spend some time with her and her kids– she also has a daughter.
Anyway, the get-together was off to a good start at first. Well, that was until her sister and nephew left, and her son could not find his Nintendo Switch.
That realization set off a massive search, and they looked practically everywhere– under the couches, behind every television, and in every single cabinet and drawer in her home. They even peeked under the fridge, just in case.
And honestly, the thought that her sister and nephew might have taken the new video game console just never crossed her mind. Instead, she just figured that the Switch would pop up in the house eventually.
“And I didn’t try to get a new one with the warranty because the warranty does not cover loss or theft,” she explained.
Anyway, just yesterday, she decided to go over to her sister’s house to drop off some leftovers. And as soon as she walked through the door, she noticed that her nephew jumped up from his seat on the couch, darted into his bedroom, and slammed the door.

Yet again, though, she did not think anything of her nephew’s behavior. Still, she did want to talk to her sister for a little bit, so she decided to stay and chat.
A short while later, her nephew then came out of his room to use the bathroom. And that time, he left his bedroom door open.
Now, according to her, her sister lives in a pretty small apartment– which means that her nephew’s bed is visible from where she had been sitting on the couch.
So, if you could not have guessed it, she was able to see that the Nintendo Switch was sitting right in front of her nephew’s bed on the floor.
So, she immediately hopped off of the couch and went over to pick it up. Then, once she switched on the device, she saw that her log-in account was on it– which just confirmed that it was the same Switch she had given her son.
And at that moment, she decided to confront her sister. First, she asked why the heck her son’s new Nintendo was there, but her sister reportedly looked just as confused as she was.
So, she waited until her nephew got out of the bathroom. But right after he did, it became clear what had happened.
Apparently, her nephew saw the Nintendo in her hand and started screaming, “No! Give it back!” Then, he even snatched it out of her hands!
Now, that honestly really pissed her off. So, she decided to snatch it back from her nephew and tell him that the video game console was not his. Moreover, she told him that he was never allowed to steal from other people.
That caused her nephew to break out into a full-on tantrum, and he started screaming, flailing, and kicking. Shockingly, though, rather than reprimanding her nephew for stealing, her sister actually got mad at her!
In fact, her sister started cursing her out and telling her not to snatch anything out of her nephew’s hands.
But, she argued back that it was literally her son’s new Nintendo– which he obviously just received for Christmas. Moreover, she pointed out how her sister knew she had been looking for it.
“And my son never took it out of the house. So, there was no way it ended up at my sister’s home across town on its own,” she revealed.
Still, though, her sister kept going and actually had the audacity to try and snatch the Nintendo back out of her hands. That ultimately turned the fight into a full-on screaming match.
Thankfully, she did opt to leave her sister’s house before things could get physical– because she did not want to take it to that level. But she has still been left reeling over the whole incident.
“It’s crazy because when I asked her why my son’s Nintendo was there when I first found it, she was as confused as me. So, for her to switch up that fast because I snatched it back from my nephew is beyond me,” she vented.
Of course, she admitted that she would understand her sister’s perspective if she had snatched the video game console back so hard that her nephew fell or something. However, nothing like that happened at all.
So now, with her and her sister in a massive argument, she has been left wondering if snatching her son’s brand-new Nintendo Switch out of her nephew’s hands was the wrong thing to do or not.
