She Took The Door Off Her Mom And Stepdad’s Bedroom Door After Her Stepdad Did The Same Thing To Her, And He Flipped Out
You may have heard of parents taking the door off their teenager’s room as a form of punishment, but have you ever heard of teenagers doing that to their parents?
One teenager took her mom and stepdad’s bedroom door down after her stepdad did the same to her so he could peek into her room whenever he wanted and see if it was messy.
She’s 18 years old, and her parents split up when she was 12. Her mom was unfaithful to her dad, which led to their splitting.
While she wanted to live with her dad full time, her mom’s house is closer to her school, so she lives with her and her stepdad, Harry.
She cannot stand Harry. He’s 15 years older than her mom, and although he seems to make her happy, she thinks their relationship is gross.
She and Harry don’t have much respect for one another. Additionally, Harry is very strict when it comes to cleaning around the house.
In her house, everything has to be clean and tidy 24/7. After she does anything, including cooking or making herself a cup of tea, she immediately has to clean up.
For instance, Harry makes her clean any dishes she used to cook herself something right after, so her food often gets cold.
“My mom follows his rules, but I hate them,” she said. “I’m not even untidy. I just don’t want to clean things when they don’t need to be.”

Her room used to be more of a safe haven, where if one or two things were out of place, she wouldn’t get in trouble for it because Harry couldn’t see inside.
However, he began knocking on her door and entering her room to inspect it. He’d force her to clean it if it wasn’t up to his standards.
Recently, Harry did something that made her so angry that she had to give him a taste of his own medicine.
“Last weekend, he decided to replace my door with a curtain so he could just pull it and see if there was any mess,” she recalled.
“He said I deserve it for being so unclean.”
Furious, she decided to call a friend over while her mom and Harry were out grocery shopping and got him to help her unscrew their bedroom door. She put up a curtain just like Harry did for her room before taking their door and hiding it under her bed.
“I figure if I don’t have a door as an adult, neither should he,” she added.
“My stepdad went mental demanding me to reinstall the door, but I refused. I said that if I can’t have one, neither can he.”
Harry angrily decided to remove her curtain, so now nothing is guarding her bedroom. However, she doesn’t mind and has been hiding while she gets changed for privacy.
While her dad thought what she did was funny, he’s been encouraging her to put her mom and Harry’s door back up, but she wants to stand her ground until she can move out.
Instead, she plans on asking her dad to help her reinstall a door to her bedroom. She wants one that locks so that she won’t have to deal with Harry going in anymore.
