Sometimes, the universe doesn’t just drop a bombshell. It detonates in the most brutal way possible, making you wonder how betrayal can stretch so far from the grave.

Several years ago, TikToker @shaunygirl found out that her husband was having an affair with four women after he died. Two of the women were her friends, and one of them was her best friend.

When TikToker @shaunygirl was 20 years old, she met her first husband in 2006 at a nightclub. They fell in love, and within a year, she was pregnant.

They had their first son in 2008 and a daughter two years later. He was a friendly guy and a good dad, but there were times when he would disappear during the weekends.

He set up a car-dealing business with friends because he wanted to strike out on his own. He would go out every single day, but always told her where he was. She thought he was busy building his business and had no reason to doubt him.

In 2012, he asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes, and they got married in 2014. An incident occurred in 2015: she was borrowing his phone to check the weather when a message popped up. He went pale, grabbed the phone, ran downstairs, and shut the living room door.

She banged on the door, demanding to know what was going on. She realizes now that he was probably deleting all the evidence of his cheating. When he came out, he told her that he was arranging a surprise for her. Eventually, they moved on from that.

In 2016, he seemed a little down and depressed. When she asked him why, he said that business wasn’t doing as well as he thought it would.

Then, a few days before their daughter’s birthday, they got into a huge argument about him going out drinking. On their daughter’s birthday, he left and did not return for the celebrations.

That night, his friend messaged her, asking if she had heard from him. She checked his phone activity and saw that he had been on his phone since 10 a.m. For some reason, alarm bells started going off in her head.

She loaded the kids into the car and drove to the garage where he sold cars. When they arrived at the garage, she left the kids in the car and checked out the area.

She thought the door was locked, so she called the police and reported her husband as a missing person. The police told her to go home and wait for an officer to take a statement from her.

At 2 a.m., she received a call from a private number. It was a woman, asking her for her husband’s best friend’s number. She wouldn’t say her name or explain why she wanted it.

However, the woman did admit that she had been seeing her husband for two years, and she knew about her and the kids. Their affair began two months before they got married. She was absolutely devastated and called her mom and friend to come.

“Thankfully, they did because about half an hour after they both walked through the door, I got the phone call from his friend, his best friend, who said that unfortunately, he had been found dead in his car-dealing unit,” said @shaunygirl.

“I think I screamed and made a sound that I didn’t think the human body was probably capable of making. My whole world had fallen apart in the space of an hour.”

Her husband’s best friend and his other friends knew about this other woman. She lived on the other side of town and knew everything about @shaunygirl.

“When I eventually looked at her Instagram, it was exactly the same as mine,” she said. “It mirrored mine in exactly the same way. She would do things that I would do, such as bake cakes, make pallets. She based her entire personality on me, and I had no idea.”

Of course, her friends rallied around her, supporting her through this tragic event, particularly her best friend. So, when she found out that they had been having an affair as well, it was the ultimate betrayal.

Three months after her husband’s funeral, she got his phone back from the police. She scrolled through all the messages and learned that her husband and best friend had been hooking up for months.

“The next message that I found was where he’d been meeting up with a girl who was my son’s friend’s mom,” she said. “She had done my hair for my wedding. She was also a friend and acquaintance, somebody who would be friendly with me, and she was also meeting up with him. Another girl was his business partner’s daughter, whom we had just been on a big holiday with as a big group.”

After making these horrible discoveries, @shaunygirl texted her best friend and told her not to speak to her ever again. To this day, she has never really had closure with any of the women. But she decided to move on with her life and focus on raising her kids. She met someone else and had another child.

It has been nine years since her late husband’s death, and she is still processing everything that happened.
