When TikToker Becca (@spraytansbybecca) matched with a guy on a dating app, he initially asked her out to coffee, but the conversation later turned to dinner.
They decided to meet up for sushi. Before they picked out a restaurant, he kept asking her how she wanted to dress. He insinuated that he liked to dress up because he was from Miami.
She told him that she was fine with being fancy, even though it was not her usual attire. On the way to the date, he called her because he wanted to hear her voice before they met.
He talked nonstop. She tried to hang up when she arrived at the restaurant, but he was still talking. He told her that he was waiting at the front of the restaurant, but she didn’t see anyone.
“I think he was waiting so he could see me in person because I was just standing there, and then once he saw me, he hung up, and we met, and everything was fine,” said Becca.
In the restaurant, he wanted to sit next to her instead of across from her, which was an immediate red flag. She figured that he must be trying to love bomb her because he was trying to get close to her right away.
He spent hours talking about his childhood trauma and his current situation. He did listen whenever she talked, but the whole conversation was a lot for a first date.
“I appreciate the transparency, but at the end of the day, we’re strangers,” said Becca. “He told me some things about his childhood that he shouldn’t be telling a stranger.”
Finally, she was ready to go. He walked her out to her car and stood there chatting away. She tried to leave three times, but he didn’t get the hint.

As she was leaving, she reflected on the date. He talked way too much, but he was good-looking and seemed like a nice guy. She was still willing to see him again.
The next day, they chatted throughout the day. Around 4 p.m., he had to drop off his kids with their mother. Three hours later, he let her know that he had handled the situation and asked Becca if she was at home.
She didn’t respond to his messages until later. He wanted to stop by her house so they could talk in the driveway. He also sent her a selfie and claimed that he was out at a bar.
However, Becca looked up the bar and discovered that it was closed at this hour. He was giving her weird vibes. So, she never replied to the texts he sent the following morning. She hasn’t heard from him since.
