TikToker Cassie (@weddingprocass) received a story submission about a woman describing her evil stepmom. Her stepmom and her dad had been married for 10 years.
She can't prove it, but she is almost certain that her stepmom purposely flooded the basement so that her mom's things would be ruined.
"My mom passed away when I was very young, and my dad held on to everything from her old clothes, all the letters she wrote us, pictures and videos of us, and of course, her wedding dress," narrated Cassie.
When she was around 14 or 15 years old, the basement flooded. The flood caused them to lose everything from her mother. Her stepmom initially acted upset about it, but over the years, she has made a few comments that seemed to insinuate that she had done it on purpose.
Her stepmom has also used a voodoo doll to try to break up her marriage, but it backfired, and her dad finally left her stepmom.
Her dad and mom were head over heels in love and married for 12 years before her mom passed away from cancer. She was only six years old at the time.
When she was 10, her dad met another woman, and her name was Celeste. After they got married, she spent less time with her father.
Pictures of her mom were removed from the walls, and she could no longer openly talk about her mom. She was pulled out of her tight-knit private school and made to attend public school.
"I could tell my dad very much loved Celeste, and I tried to love her, too," said Cassie. "She was very cold and unwelcoming to me, plastering on a smile and hugs only for pictures or when my dad was around."

"Celeste never wanted children of her own, and she was counting down the days until I was off to college, which I gladly left the state for."
She met her husband in college and was engaged by her senior year. Once they graduated, they found jobs and began wedding planning. Her mother-in-law, Susan, reached out to Celeste several times to help plan events, but Celeste was reluctant to do so.
When her dad and Celeste flew out for her bridal shower, Celeste booked a hotel at the last minute, saying that she needed the private space for meditation. According to her dad, Celeste had ordered a bunch of new books for her meditation journey.
That weekend, she experienced a series of unfortunate events during her wedding shower. She fractured her ankle, broke the heel of her shoe, and got a flat tire. She couldn't prove that Celeste was behind the misfortune, but she had a feeling that she was.
During the week of the wedding, everyone came over to help and stayed at Susan's house. One day, Susan caught her dog, Chief, chewing on a bag. He had gotten a pin stuck in his lip. When she took a closer look, she found a voodoo doll in the bag.
"She pulled the pin out of Chief's lip and picked up the doll," said Cassie. "She said she screamed out loud when she turned it over because there was my face taped to it, and there were 10 pins in the right leg of this doll."
Her broken ankle and broken shoe had been on her right side. The bag also contained some candles and crumpled pieces of paper with cruel messages written on them.
Susan placed the bag on the counter to see who would grab it. When Celeste saw the bag, she started screaming at Susan.
Susan confronted her about the voodoo doll, and Celeste's face immediately paled. Celeste tried to claim that she had been set up. When her dad realized what was going on, he asked Celeste to leave.
Celeste did not attend the wedding and was never in her life again after that.
"My dad never showed me the doll, but he locked it away and kept it," said Cassie. "He said he didn't believe in that stuff but would make sure that doll stayed safe and far away from Celeste. They got a divorce pretty quietly and quickly after that."
Eventually, Celeste was caught drinking and driving and is now behind bars. She wonders if Celeste had somehow cast a spell on her dad because he became way lighter and happier once he got away from Celeste.
