In her sophomore year of high school, TikToker Giada’s (@giadamariaaa) boyfriend left her for her best friend. Her best friend had been there for her ever since Giada met this guy. So, she heard all about their dates and details of their relationship.
They dated for about seven and a half months. Then, Giada found out she was moving three states away. They decided to do a long-distance relationship for a while.
She thought it was going pretty well, but it turned out that her best friend had stolen him from under her nose.
Giada and her best friend never really had a big falling-out. She also had never suspected her best friend of liking her boyfriend. Her best friend had cried when Giada told her she was moving away.
Every time Giada told her best friend about how much she liked her boyfriend, her best friend constantly sneered, insulted him, and told her that she could do better.
After moving away, Giada was really sad for a long time. She couldn’t eat, sleep, or get out of bed. Her boyfriend ended up breaking up with her for his own mental health, or so he claimed.
He had a private TikTok account, and Giada was one of the only people on it. After they broke up, she saw her best friend on the account as well.
When she questioned her boyfriend about it, he told her that her best friend had simply requested to follow him, and he accepted. There was nothing more to it.
They stayed in contact for two months after the breakup. During that time, he treated Giada terribly. He explained his nasty behavior away by saying that he needed to be mean in order to get her to leave him alone.

One day, another friend texted her, letting her know that her ex-boyfriend and best friend were together. Giada tried to confront her ex-boyfriend, but he had blocked her on everything, except for text messages.
“At the end of the day, they have to live with the disgusting choices that they make,” said Giada. “I would never do that to someone…I already cried for like three hours today, and I cried myself to bed last night.”
In the comments section, many TikTok users tried to reassure Giada that she will find true love one day.
“Do not reach out to him. He knows what he’s doing, and you don’t need to feed his ego more. Has nothing to do with you. I’m so sorry; I was in a similar situation as well. I’m always here if you ever need someone to talk to,” commented one user.
“Obviously, they both are horrible people, but I promise you that was not the love of your life. Connecting with someone and being able to talk to them just shows you are an empathetic, emotionally intelligent person. Nothing to do with them. You will find a real love and realize you never needed either of them,” wrote another.
“It took me 3o years to find my person!! I was married, had two relationships after, and I found my person right before my 30th birthday !! You have so much more life to live. Your soul mate would never do that to you. Ever. My man could never imagine hurting a hair on my head, much less my heart!!” exclaimed a third.
