This Woman Says She Thinks She Accidentally Slept With Her Boyfriend’s Brother And Now She Seriously Needs The Internet To Weigh In
A 24-year-old woman is saying she thinks she accidentally slept with her 27-year-old boyfriend’s twin brother…
…And now she seriously needs the internet to weigh in on what happened.
“Okay, I’m worried I’m being paranoid here but I can’t shake the feeling something is off,” she started out by explaining.
She and her boyfriend met while they were in college several years ago after being introduced by some friends that they shared.
They immediately liked one another, and now they’ve been serious for about 2 years. She knew her boyfriend Mark had a twin brother named Lucas because she got to meet him not long after she began dating Mark.
Mark and Lucas might look the same, but they couldn’t be more different. Mark is very outgoing, while Lucas is more reserved and has always been quiet around her.
Mark is the one who is the center of attention in their friend group, and Lucas is the one who kind of just tags along.
She did ask Mark at one point why Lucas was so quiet, and he mentioned that Lucas did not have a lot of friends when they were kids, so he pretty much stuck to Mark.
Recently, she went to a bar with Mark to celebrate their friend’s birthday, and Lucas was there as well.

“I’m not a big drinker usually but I ended up being bought quite a few cocktails that night, so that might be where the confusion is coming in,” she admitted.
Lucas spent about an hour there before leaving, which didn’t shock her at all, as he normally will not stay long at social gatherings.
“I was pretty drunk by this point so I let Mark take me home. We don’t live together yet (we’re thinking about moving in after summer) but he often spends the night,” she continued.
“I know we definitely slept together, but the exact details are hazy.”
“From what I remember it was passionate…but everything felt normal. The next day I woke up alone, which is weird Mark usually spends the night.”
“I send him a text anyway telling him to have a good day and he responded pretty quickly saying you too and that he had a good time at the bar.”
Another thing that was strange to her is that her front door was left unlocked, but Mark has a key to her place.
She let it go, but then a week after that, Mark had a game night at his apartment, and Lucas was there.
“Lucas acted really weird about me all night (usually he at least says hello but he could barely look at me) and when I offered him a snack it looked like he was about to start crying,” she said.
“He left before the game was up.”
“I privately asked a close female friend of mine in the group if she knew what was up with him, and in return, she said she was going to ask ME that since he hadn’t seemed to have a problem talking to me the week before.”
“When I asked what she meant, she said that she thought Lucas had been the one to ‘drive me home’ from the bar the week before.”
“I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it all.”
“I know my friend was most likely mistaken and Lucas could have been acting strangely for some other reason (he’s done weird things before) but the more I think about it, the more sure I get that something is off.”
“I love Mark so so much and I don’t want this to come between us, whatever happened. I know I might be being paranoid but I feel sick with guilt.”
She’s worried that if she does say something to Mark, she will destroy their relationship. Either he’s going to be upset if she happens to be right, or he will think she’s absolutely insane if she is wrong.
Here’s what the internet had to say.
“If I were you, I’d just play the alcohol narrative. Tell him you were really drunk and you don’t remember how you got home. Easy way to see if he was in fact the one that drove you home.”
“Girl, talk with Mark, like now. And if Lucas took advantage of you, that is so not your fault, and you should go to the police as soon as possible!”
“Ask your friend why she thought Lucas was the one to take you home instead of Mark too as maybe they have more information?”
“This twin might’ve just been hopeful that you’d had some kind of feelings for him, and told himself that you’d chosen to sleep with him.”
“I am so very sorry that you are in this position. You might lose your boyfriend. I won’t lie to you. If it transpires that it was Luke, Mark might be too traumatized to continue the relationship.”
“But you still need to ask him if he’s the one who drove you home because the real issue is this: You were drunk.”
“Something very similar happened to a friend of mine when we were freshmen in college. She had been casually seeing this guy, an identical twin, and star athlete, and texted him one night to come over.”
“He thought it would be funny to send his brother. She found out only a few days later when it had been posted to a now long-dead website called college ABC.”
“It was disgusting and vile. She didn’t press any charges and none of us really knew what to do at the time. Both brothers are pro athletes now.”
