She Decided To Give Her Ex A Second Chance And Agreed To Go With Him On A Trip Abroad, But Then Her Ex Ghosted Her For A Second Time, And She Went On The Trip Alone

About six years ago, this young woman’s relationship crashed and burned.
At the time, she and her then-boyfriend were only 19 or 20-years-old. And according to her, their breakup was pretty bad– because her ex just ghosted her out of nowhere.
So, it ultimately took her years to forgive him.
But recently, just as she made her peace with what happened and moved on, her ex decided to drop a follow request on her Instagram account.
Now, being that their relationship ended six years ago, she admitted to feeling a bit nostalgic upon seeing that notification.
After all, she remembered how much she enjoyed spending time with her ex and reminisced about all of the sweet memories they had made together.
So, if you could not have guessed, they wound up rekindling, and she decided to chalk their past relationship failure up to their young ages at the time.
“Sure, he could have broken up with me in a different way, and it broke me,” she explained.
“But who’s to know what is right at that age, right?”

Well, that’s what she thought. So, after her ex invited her to go on a trip abroad, she agreed.
Of course, she did take some time to think about it. But she realized that she had a friend living in the trip’s destination country and figured that having a familiar face– her ex– along for her travels wouldn’t be such a bad thing.
Plus, knowing that she would have another person to visit abroad made the whole idea a lot easier to digest.
“I’ve got a friend on the other side,” she reasoned, “So thank god for that. I don’t have to spend the entire time there with him, I thought.”
Instead, she planned to travel with her ex but make plans to visit her friend, too. It seemed like a win-win, “kill two birds with one stone” situation.
Or so she thought. If you could not have guessed, things did not go according to plan.
Instead, she revealed how she was actually ghosted by her ex for a second time just hours before her flight left.
After spending $1,000 on the trip and choosing to spend her time with him, he stood her up again.
Thankfully, her friend was very understanding. So, after she explained what had happened, she was allowed to stay with her friend for the duration of the trip. And for that, she is immensely thankful.
As for her ex, though, she believes that she has finally learned her lesson– even though the situation made her terribly sad and confused.
I mean, who invites you on a planned trip and then ghosts you the day before?
She reportedly tried to call and text her ex– without being “too spammy.”
“I gave him a reasonable amount of time. I just wanted to make sure everything was on track,” she said.
Ever since her ex showed his true colors, though, she has been left wondering why her ex did this to her again.
“I think it’s cold feet,” she revealed. “But it is unacceptable, all the same. I would never do that to a person. I don’t understand how someone could.”
Still, she decided to go on the trip and try to enjoy the getaway with her friend. At the very least, she will get to cross another country off of her bucket list.
Do you think it was a mistake for her to agree to take the trip with her ex? Regardless, can you believe her ex stood her up after inviting her to go away with him? Was this perhaps a blessing in disguise, so she could spend uninterrupted time with her friend and explore a new country? If you were in her shoes, would you have still gotten on the plane?
