Victoria (@apple.user62489754 on TikTok) went on a first date so bad, my jaw is still sitting there on the floor because it dropped that hard over what happened to her.

Victoria is 5’11”, and she understandably likes taller men. One of her very good friends set her up with a guy (side note: I feel like the theme of today is don’t let your friends pick your men for you), and this guy lied to her about his height.

When Victoria went out on a date with him, she was shocked at how much shorter he was than her. He was so little she could see the top of his head, and she awkwardly joked about how she was not always so tall because she had boots on.

They walked into the restaurant, and this guy launched right into talking about his finances, such as how much he spends on weddings and gifts. He asked Victoria exactly zero questions about herself as he droned on about his money.

“We transition into him giving me advice on how I can lose weight. I did not ask for said advice; I know, you know, anyone can afford to lose a couple of pounds, but I wasn’t looking for it,” Victoria explained in her video.

“I’ll let you know what it was: cut out broccoli. 40 minutes, cut out broccoli if you want to lose weight. Exercise does not matter. But broccoli is high in carbohydrates, so that is really where you’re going to knock off the pounds.”

“Sir, I could not eat less broccoli if I tried. So, now we’ve covered finance, we’ve covered how I can lose weight, and he asks if I believe in…the guy should pay for the whole first date, or if it should be split.”

Victoria always offers to pay for her half, so she mentioned that, and the guy told her about a date he went on with a girl who said he should pay for everything, so he made the hostess split their bill.

The check arrived, and Victoria grabbed her wallet, not wanting this guy to badmouth her to their hostess. The guy then stared right into Victoria’s eyes and told her not to worry because he had been on worse dates than theirs and still paid for the bill.

Victoria wasn’t sure how it was possible, but she wanted absolutely nothing to do with this guy. She managed to get out to the parking lot and was nearly in her car before she burst into tears.

“So, small men are capable of making you feel small. And that was just one of the many wonderful men I put myself out there with,” Victoria concluded.

P.S., guys, broccoli is not considered a high-carb food at all, in case you were curious about that fun fact.
