There are people out there who genuinely believe it’s easier to date women than men, but Whitney (@whits_tiks on TikTok) has a dating story that’s about to prove them all wrong.
So far, Whitney has only gone on one date this year, and it was this trainwreck. The girl she went on a date with, Rebecca, was super sweet and didn’t do anything mean, but Whitney says her story is way too much to deal with.
She and Rebecca originally met on social media, and they do not live in the same city, yet they always agreed to go out on a date if they ended up in one another’s zip code.
Well, she did end up traveling to Rebecca’s city, so they organized a date, and Rebecca picked out a dive bar. Whitney arrived first and ordered a drink.
When Rebecca arrived, she announced she was only ordering water, which threw Whitney for a loop, because she thought she could have picked a different environment if her plan was to refrain from alcohol.
Rebecca wasn’t easy to chat with, and they were struggling to connect or find other things to discuss. Whitney knew Rebecca wasn’t the one for her, so she said she was feeling tired from traveling and wanted to wrap it up. She did offer to walk Rebecca to her car.
“This is where there was like a cinematic silence…I could tell her mood kind of went dark, and I thought maybe she was just bummed out that I didn’t want to keep the night going,” Whitney explained in her video.
“And then, after a long pause, she turns to me, and she says, ‘I need to tell you something, and what I’m about to tell you is going to determine whether or not you ever want to see me again.'”
“So basically everything that’s running through your mind right now was running through my mind, and I’m like, ‘Ok! Yeah! Sure!'”

Rebecca said they should sit down for this one, so they sat down on a sidewalk in the city because there was nowhere else for them to sit. Whitney’s mind was racing as she tried to guess what was coming next.
Rebecca finally blurted out that she was five months pregnant, and her baby daddy is the man that she and her ex-girlfriend were in a throuple with.
Whitney was floored. This was Whitney’s first date after her relationship with the person she was convinced she was going to marry fell apart. She really didn’t want to even be dating, and then this hit her like a ton of bricks.
Rebecca asked her if she was interested in helping raise her baby. Whitney said it’s great to get to be a mom, but she made it clear she wasn’t interested.
Whitney wished Rebecca had told her she was pregnant in advance, because that’s a lot of baggage to deal with.
