Some of the most embarrassing situations in life involve tripping in public or sending a text message to the wrong person. TikToker Joe (@joeandtell_) managed to top both of those scenarios, leading to an audience of healthcare workers who became far more involved in his bathroom experience than anyone intended.
One day, he went to a lab to do a urine test. Like countless other patients every day, he was directed to a bathroom. The process was expected to be simple and uneventful.
While he was in the bathroom, he realized that he also needed to defecate. He thought he was in a normal bathroom, so he proceeded to conduct his business. But when he finished up, he looked around and didn’t see any way to flush the toilet.
So, he went out into the hall to ask for some assistance. He managed to flag down a woman who worked there and asked her how to flush the toilet. The woman told him that the toilet couldn’t be flushed.
When Joe confessed to what he had done in there, she stated that he wasn’t supposed to do that in this toilet. She had to find her manager, and they turned a special key to get the toilet to flush.
However, the key wasn’t working, so they had to call another person for help. Before long, Joe found himself standing in the bathroom with two nurses and a manager, all while his waste was still sitting in the toilet.
Finally, they got the toilet to flush, and the crisis was averted. After that whole debacle, they warned him never to poop in these toilets again. Due to this incident, it would not be a surprise if they actually put up some signs.
In the comments section, many TikTok users got secondhand embarrassment from his story and admitted that they would never emotionally recover from this experience if it had happened to them. Others shared their own stories of unexpected bathroom disasters during medical testing.
“As someone who used to administer these tests for years, I can’t even tell you how many times I told people beforehand not to poop, and they still did,” commented one user.

“I admire you for laughing. I would be so mortified I might have to move states and change my name, not necessarily in that order,” wrote another.
“I got horrible diarrhea during a pee test. I was mortified. I was just like, I’m sorry,” shared a third.
“I had this exact same experience. I feel so much better knowing I’m not alone,” added someone else.
The moral of the story here is to always ask questions if a medical bathroom seems unusually complicated. Secondly, there are few things more comforting than discovering that a bunch of strangers on the internet have also made the same mistake.
