This woman recently bought a car for her daughter, who is going to be 17 years old this week.

Before making the purchase, her 23-year-old nephew’s car was repossessed because he wasn’t making car payments.

Afterward, she comforted him and let him know that she would try to help him come up with a plan of what to do.

She was planning to buy her daughter a car, knowing that her daughter wouldn’t be able to drive it until February because she currently only has her learner’s permit.

When she told her daughter about how her nephew’s vehicle had been repossessed, her daughter said that she didn’t mind if he borrowed her car for the time being.

At first, she was thinking about going forward with this idea. She would have let her nephew borrow her daughter’s car and have him listed on her insurance.

However, she’s since changed her mind.

From the moment her nephew’s car was taken away, she assured him that she would help him.

Not long ago, she bought her daughter’s car.

She works about 60 hours or more each week, so she was insanely busy with work that week.

Even though she tried to find time to go to the courthouse so that she could get the car registered and get the tags, she didn’t have the chance to do so.

On Friday night, she still had been too busy to register the vehicle, and she had a trip that she was taking starting on Sunday morning.

“He called me nearly every day asking about the car. When I returned home, I had plans to go first thing on Monday and register the car. Unfortunately, I misplaced the title. From preparing to leave for a week and getting everything situated, the title was gone!” she said.

Every single day, she searched all over for the title, and a couple of days ago, she finally found it. She made sure to keep it safe in her purse.

“My nephew called again on Saturday morning, ranting about how I put him on the back burner, how I ‘told him’ to let the car get repossessed (complete lie),” she explained.

Her nephew continued, claiming that he’d done so many things for her over the years, which also wasn’t true.

The whole time while her nephew was on the phone, he acted self-centered and entitled, like she should feel obligated to give him the car.

“So, now I refuse to help him. I have given him a lot of money over the last year. Yes, I promised the car to him, but I don’t owe him anything. He only comes by when he wants something, usually a handout,” she shared.

Because her nephew’s parents passed away and his grandmother doesn’t have enough money to support him when he’s in a difficult situation, he relies on her when he needs help.

Even though she knows it was her fault that she misplaced the car title for a few days, she doesn’t think that she deserved to be spoken to so disrespectfully. Her nephew completely ignored how much she had already done for him.

What would you have done if you were in her shoes?
