When TikToker Madisen (@madisenjm) first started bartending in 2021, she worked at a sports bar. One customer kept coming in and insisting on taking her out on a date. He even gave her his phone number.
After months of trying, she finally agreed to meet him for lunch. She got all dressed up in a purple skirt and an off-the-shoulder white top. She drove herself to the date.
Once lunch was over, he asked her if she wanted to go out for ice cream. She said yes, but she made the mistake of getting into the car with him. After they got their ice cream, he suggested that they take a walk in the park.
“In my mind, we were going to go to one that was kind of like a track where everything’s out in the open,” said Madisen. “Well, we end up driving past it, and I’m like, that’s where I wanted to go and feel safe.”
They went to a larger park instead. For the first few minutes, everything seemed fine, but then, she got a gut-wrenching feeling in her stomach. She was super uncomfortable, and her entire body was telling her that she needed to escape the situation.
As they approached a bend in the trail, which was surrounded by trees, he suddenly called her stupid. He pointed out that she was alone and wearing a skirt, so it would be easy for him to do something to her if he wanted to. No one would see or hear her.
She handled the situation as best she could. She tried to laugh it off and started picking up the pace. Fortunately, they reached his truck safely.
When they were in the truck, he repeated that she was stupid and that she didn’t know his real name or his real phone number. He also had previous charges she didn’t know about.
While they were driving back, she confronted him about putting her in a dangerous position. She knew that he had a daughter, so she stated that she hoped no one ever treated his daughter this way.

“I don’t know if it’s because I mentioned the daughter, if it made him be nice, but he actually took me to back to my car, and then I went home,” said Madisen.
A few days later, he showed up at her workplace and tried to get in through different entrances so he could talk to her and apologize. To her relief, he ended up leaving her alone after that.
Now, she’s warning other girls to carry a weapon with them and never to go on dates with a guy they don’t know. You could be in danger, even during a family-friendly activity.
