Ever Wanted To Try The “75 Hard Challenge” But Just Couldn’t Commit? Check Out The “75 Hotter Challenge” Instead, Created For The Girlies Who Want Something A Bit More Realistic
Have you ever heard of the 75 Hard Challenge?
The 75 Hard Challenge program came out in 2020 to give anyone who took it on a mental and physical transformation in 75 days. The challenge became quite popular on social media, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and many of us lost motivation to eat well or hit the gym.
However, the 75 Hard Challenge is, well, hard. It involves intense rules like exercising twice a day in two different settings, following a specific diet, refraining from alcohol, drinking a gallon of water daily, reading 10 pages of a self-help book daily, and starting the 75 days over if you cheated or messed up.
So, while the 75 Hard Challenge may sound powerful enough to take you through a transformation, many people have been looking for a lighter, more accessible, and realistic challenge to take on for 75 days.
Bring in the 75 Hotter Challenge, invented by TikTok creator (@itsmejadeb) and podcaster Jade Brandt.
In her video breaking down her rendition of the challenge, Jade explains that she is usually very indulgent in the fall, and by the time the holidays roll around, she feels sluggish and ready for a lifestyle change.
To combat those feelings, she’s tried programs like the 75 Hard Challenge, but it wasn’t her style and didn’t make her feel as great as she wanted, so she took matters into her own hands and created the 75 Hotter Challenge, a challenge that will make your mind, body, and soul feel ‘hotter’ by the time you’re finished.
Jade breaks her rules for the 75-day challenge into categories, including dating, steps, diet, drinking, connection, etc.
Here is a quick breakdown of Jade’s 75 Hotter Challenge rules and how you can complete the 75 days successfully!
Dating
When it comes to dating during this challenge, Jade says to cut out all toxic people and exes and going no-contact with them for 75 days. If you’ve been thinking it’s time to break things off with your situationship, this challenge gives you the excuse to do it.
Steps
Participants of the 75 Hotter Challenge need to get in 10,000 steps each day – time for more ‘hot girl walks!’
Diet
Jade felt that this part of the challenge should cater to every participant’s unique needs and goals. Still, either way, if you’re doing the 75 Hotter Challenge, you should prioritize eating plenty of proteins and green vegetables at mealtimes.
3 Bite Rule
When participating in the 75 Hotter Challenge, you shouldn’t feel like you’re depriving yourself of foods you love. The 3 bite rule makes it so that you can eat the foods you love or crave in controlled amounts.
“If there’s something that I’m like, dying to try or I just like, need a little treat, I’m giving myself three bites,” Jade explains.
“Because one’s not enough. Two is kind of just like a little tease, and three is just like enough where you’re leaving the party early.”
Read
Not everyone wants to read a self-help book, and not everyone has time for 10 pages of reading every day. In Jade’s challenge, she encourages reading any kind of book you want before bed instead of going on your phone and mindlessly scrolling. There’s no page count, so there’s less pressure!
Water
Suddenly, starting to drink a gallon of water each day can be really intense and wreak havoc on your bladder. So, as funny as it sounds, Jade tells 75 Hotter participants to drink enough water so that their pee is clear and light throughout the day. It’s a basic indicator of proper hydration and a basic way to take care of yourself!
Clean
“Hot girls have clean spaces,” says Jade.
“So every night before we go to bed, we’re just gonna do a nice clean sweep of our space and just make sure things are just, like, feeling good.”
Keeping your space clean causes less stress at the end of the day, so push yourself to keep your home tidy!
Connection
75 Hotter Challenge participants need to take time to reach out to an old friend or someone they want to build a relationship with at least once a week. Isolating yourself while trying to go through a healing transformation isn’t the best move, so having people around and putting more effort into positive connections is super beneficial.
Drinking
Many people dread the ‘no alcohol’ rule that is part of the 75 Hard Challenge, but thankfully, you can still drink on the 75 Hotter Challenge. But as Jade says, “Hot girls drink to celebrate; they don’t drink while crying at home.”
Avoid reaching for alcohol during low or boring moments during the 75 Hotter Challenge. Save it for special occasions, celebrations, and socializing. Don’t drink alone or drink for the sole purpose of getting drunk.
Working Out
Jade tells 75 Hotter participants to work out five times a week and not to count their 10,000 steps as a workout, as there should be another kind of workout during the day that gets your heart rate going and leaves you sweating.
Aesthetics
“We are gonna do one thing a week that helps our outward appearance,” explains Jade.
“So that could be a spray tan, that could be getting your eyebrows done, [or] that could be getting a facial. It’s one self-care thing we can do to make us feel better about ourselves.”
There you have it! Those are all the rules for following the 75 Hotter Challenge.
