If you were questioning whether a child was genetically related to you, would you want to get a test done, or would you be too scared to find out the truth?
This man found out his wife was cheating, and when he did the math, he pieced together that she was sleeping with him and a couple of other men at the time she got pregnant.
He was suspicious that his wife was being unfaithful for a while, and he ultimately confronted her, which led her to confess to it all.
"I wanted to try to get past her adultery, because I still loved her. We've been [in] the process of reconciliation ever since [I] found out," he explained.
"The pregnancy announcement certainly complicated things, considering the fact that we have no other children together."
Five months ago, his wife gave birth to a girl, and they have talked about getting a paternity test done. His wife feels he should do it, but he's honestly scared.
If he's right and this child is the result of his wife's affair, he's definitely going to hate the kid, and this will wreck their reconciliation process.
As soon as his wife did get pregnant, he stated that if the baby wasn't his, he wanted her to place the girl up for adoption. His wife agreed at first, but then decided against this, as this is her firstborn.
He let it go, as he didn't want any more problems in his marriage. Since then, he and his wife have been trying to have another child without success.

His wife has been all in on another baby, which he thinks is because she wants him to be tied to her forever. He's not trying to be judgmental, but it does feel forced on his part.
He loves his wife despite everything she's put him through, and it's not easy choosing her. But circling back to the baby, she doesn't look anything like him or his wife, and that's why he's convinced he's not her dad.
Aside from all of that, if he and his wife end their marriage, he's still going to have to pay child support even if he can prove the baby is not his.
For now, he's going to stick with his wife.
I think for his own peace of mind, he should absolutely get that paternity test done. He's just torturing himself by wondering if this child is his or not.
Also, he absolutely should not have a baby with his wife right now, since he's still dealing with her infidelity and doesn't know who the father of the first baby is. It's just not wise, and a child is a permanent decision.
What advice do you have for him?
